I took the intake manifold off my engine just to take a look, and found a home made spacer. I figure I'll need a spacer 8mm thick, and do I need a gasket or o-ring to go with that? What else should I know before I order anything?

Let me see if I can remember, the paper gasket goes down on the head, Then the plastic spacer. Then the O ring goes in the intake manifold and that sets down on the spacer. Is that right guys?

I make my own gaskets out of permatex gasket material. I still use the o ring sometimes but with a decent gasket you don't need it.
