Hello Everyone. My wife has a 2012 Sunny 150cc reverse trike. The speedometer is reading about 5 mphs faster than the actual speed and it is all stock. Any ideas on recalibrating it? Thanks. Jason.

Sorry but all the chinese scoots the Speedos are way off some as much as 20% they all register more mph than your really going. What you can do is mark the real mph on the outside of the speedo like this: Alleyoop

For that reason and some others... I was going to remove my dash and replace it with a nice digital one that actually worked and was accurate. This is the one I planned to use

I would rather do some art work than one of them little digitals. They are hard to read in comparison to a analog. The analog when you see the needle even if you can't really read the numbers you know about how fast you are going. On the other hand you have to clearly see the numbers on a digital, which means you need a much larger display.
The biggest problem with the chinese analog speedo's is a lot of them are not proportional in their errors. They may be right on until 40 or 45 then get way off. The only way to correct that is art work.

It's not just the Chinese scoots almost all vehicles read fast,,,, it's by design,,, multiple safety studies found out that it actually helps lessen accidents,,,,

Very common on ALL Asian motor vehicles. And my '98 Dodge Dakota.
