My son has this TMEC QT2 2009 50 cc. Could you tell me anything about it. Is it Chinese. I would like to find a manual and electrical diagram. It does not start with the start button..brake light does not work either. I'm a very experienced auto mechanic and would like a wiring diagram. Thanks for your help

Diagrams are hard to find for the scoots There are so many of them the best you will probably find are generics they are all pretty much all the same tough.
When you turn the KEY ON does anything get voltage, guages any lights etc, horn. If it is completely dead then suspect the fuse. The fuse is usually on a thin red wire near the battery attached to the positive post of the battery. They are usually tube type fuses and are prone to go bad. They may look good but are bad so just replace it and check BOTH sides to make sure voltage is passing through.
That wire with the fuse FEEDS the IGNITION switch and when you turn it to on it MAKES contact with a black wire that feeds everything that needs voltage and one are the Brake Switchs. So you can test the wire going into the brake switch and see if it is getting 12volts. The Brake Switchs do TWO things feeds voltage to the Stop Lights and to the SOLENOID which activates your electric starter.
You can test the Starter and see how good the battery is by JUMPING the two terminals on the SOLENOID and see if it spins your starter. Alleyoop
