What all could be shorted or bad to cause the 15 amp fuse by the battery to blow on the 2013 jonway honda helix 250cc (MC-13-250) I had brought the (vrrpm3h-csr) r/r from Oregon motorcycle Parts could the blocking diode be shorted or not enough to handle this new r/r just trying to gets heads-up on this before I get to checking also which of the electrical schematic would be best to go by for this scooter For all who don't know I converted my scooter to a trike now and I'm needing to know where I could order or buy one from a forum member ((((((((((A locking Break Handle)))))))) Bashan Still waiting on a reply back from you on manuals in your forum message box to let me know if you had them already

Here is the manual you should use. But, here is the wiring diagram you should use. The wiring is different from the Helix. A blown fuse is almost always a short. The current runs back to the positive pole of the battery without a load and the fuse catches the overload before it reaches the battery. A diode could do that but are you sure you have a blocking diode? My Helix clone does not. A bad diode doesn't handle load other than if it reaches a certain voltage it fails. Once it fails it's toast, the current can then pass in both directions. In any event diodes really don't fail that often. Check the blocking diode (if you have one) by setting your multi to diode and then:
Check your connectors and make sure nothing to do with the ignition is exposed and touching the frame. You can also check your Helix ignition switch by clicking here.
Robert, I have been working on the manuals when I have time. For some reason both of my businesses have taken off through the roof the past few months....I'm not sure why. But in any event, I just have not had time to combine all of the PDF chapters you sent me so that I can upload them to the server. I received both discs you sent me and I sincerely appreciate it. I thought I sent you a PM on that but as I said I've been running in circles. In regards to if I already have those manuals, just a few of them. I can't sift through them right now so just send me whatever you feel like sending and I'll work through them during the holiday season when things slow up. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate what you're doing for me and the forum. I'm just kind of snowed under right now. Rich

That blocking diode is fine and that is the only component in there. I don't see any reason to move it. If the fuse wasn't blowing before you installed the R/R......it's the R/R or a problem with the installation wiring. Did you check voltages after you installed it?
