Hello! I see everyone here is very helpful, so I decided to see if you can help me.

I have a 2011 peace sports scooter that I got used I changed the carburetor and put on a new starter relay and it worked fine for the first day. Next day I try to start, nothing. I moved some stuff around checking with the problem was and then it started again, drove around, stopped it, started again and drove around.. did this 5 or more times and it worked fine, next day... nothing. I waited again over night and it started the next day, again that day it worked fine.. on and off.. now yesterday and today i couldn't get it started. I changed the CDI, coil, spark plug, and tested the stator which gave around 5 volts while trying to start. Another 2010 scooter i have gives the same amount of volts. I'm thinking loose connection somewhere, but I dont see any bad connections. Please help, when the scooter did start, it worked like a boss.

Maybe your starter solenoid (Your new one may be bad as well)?

Well the scooter tries to starts just doesn't grab. Like it turns just doesn't start fully.

I see. When I read the "and nothing", I thought you were meaning it wasn't turning over.

It's all good....

I notice your new to these forums... I tell ya, there's a lot of people here that really know their stuff (way more than me) and the more background info you provide, the more help you'll get... Video's really help.. It allows the mechanic more senses (sight&sound)....

One of my scooters when I first purchased it had the CDI to coil wires sandwiched in between the body panels and the frame... Hit a bump, it caused the scoot to die... Then I could start her back up and go till I hit a bump or came to a stop... I had unwrap a lot of the harness and it was one of those weird gremlins that you could only chase down yourself.....

I know how frustrating these things can be... Anyhow, just give your post a little bit of time and people will start to offer up good suggestions. But any other info you can add would help.

Ok first thing lets see if it is electrical or a fuel problem or something else.

1. Take your spark plug out or if you have a spare one then just pull the BOOT CAP off the one on the motor.
Then put the plug in the BOOT CAP and hold the metal part of the plug on the VALVE COVER and crank it and see if it is sparking.
A. If it is sparking then lets check fuel delivery GO TO #2.

2. Take the fuel hose off the carb and put it in a container and crank it. Fuel should stream out into the container.
A. If it does flow out and NOT DRIBBLE out then we know fuel is getting to the CARB GO TO #3.

3. Now Take the Vacuum hose off the connector on the INTAKE MANIFOLD and squirt some gas straight into the MANIFOLD CONNECTOR and put the Vacuum hose back on. TRY TO START IT.
A. If it fires and tries to start we have a problem with gas getting into the motor.

Get back on which one of the above is working or not working.

Thanks for the info. My next step is to check all wiring. Its gonna be a pain.. but has to happen...

I have tried I think everything, either I was sent a broken cdi or coil.. or I have a loose wire somewhere.

Ok so electrical, actually no spark.
Ok Make sure you have a good ground wire from the motor to the FRAME. If bad ground from motor to the frame NO SPARK. Also make sure the KILLSWITCH is on the run position and check if your sidestand also has a Killswitch which would cause no spark.

Seen the video and done all steps twice. I will check for the ground for now. Thanks for helping.

If it wouldn't start and you "moved stuff around " and it lit i'm calling electrical,,check all your connectors and also i would check the engine to frame ground,,

Checked the kill switch and its fine.. when it started up that time we were touching stuff towards the back, the front was all closed up..
