The 946 is a limited edition factory custom that was highly anticipated and by no stretch of the imagination a run of the mill. The fit and finish is above normal Vespa standards and more art than scooter with much of it hand crafted. All lighting is LED and the frame represents a first being a composite of pressed plate steel and aluminum. If I understand correctly you can expect to get about 117 mpg at 57 mph. Technically it is also more advanced than most in its class with a very highly tuned electronic fuel injection system, ABS Brakes and ASR Traction Control. People who have ridden one have been quite impressed. Still a bit rich for me.

After a guy spends on one for 10k just wait till he finds out he could have bought an indian for that. I believe if an indian runs 10k you should be able to buy 3 vespas for that kind of money!

For that kind of money you can get a brand new Suzuki 650 executive out the door for just little over 9K including taxes. So I think they are dreaming and I think it is actually ugly the way they have that seating and no luggage space to boot. I think it will disappear off the radar really quick.

It's idiocy,,, you could get 3 zongshen rx3's for that kind of dough,,, I personally don't get it but then I never did go for the whole mystique exclusivity thing,,,, that kind of thinking is lost on me,,, don't get me wrong they do look cool and all but not ten large cool,,, I put my dr350 together for a tick over two grand,,, it's 5times the 946 in every way
