I just bought an Ice Bear Mini Cruzzer and was told there is no fixing the problems I got with the rain and the stator. Is this my only option to now sell a junk trike. Tried to turn the engine over with a new battery and it still wouldn't crank. Any info please. Thank you. Or could it be the fuse by the battery or the battery in general. Should I also always buy a battery from a Napa or Auto Zone? Better quality?

Stay calm. Do your brake lights work? If not that could be the reason it won't crank. Try jumping the solenoid and see if it spins. The engines are simple devices, there isn't a lot that can't be fixed with a simple solution.

Should I also always buy a battery from a Napa or Auto Zone? Better quality? When you say the engine would not crank: 1. DO YOU MEAN THE MOTOR WAS TURNING OVER BUT IT WOULD NOT START? 2. DO YOU MEAN NOTHING HAPPENED NO SOUNDS NOTHING? If #2 check the fuse on the thin red wire attached to the POSITIVE POST of the battery it could be blown. ALso if it is a TUBE TYPE fuse just replace with a NEW ONE. Also DO THIS TEST: 1.Follow the THICK RED WIRE on the battery it will LEAD TO A POST OF THE SOLENOID. 2. Take a Screwdriver and touch both TERMINALS of the SOLENOID. A. DOES IT SPIN YOUR STARTER? B. DOES NOTHING? Answers on 1 and 2 and A and B would help the diagnose. Alleyoop

Just got the charger had a new battery installed and things were working well, but the headlight switch is giving me trouble so instead of using the kill switch I been just using the key and no problems. Today I have to charge the battery though. What may be the best battery to get I have a twelve volt nine amp now, anything better?

The nine amp is more than enough. Do you have a multi meter? If so hook up the multi meter to the battery, start it up and see how many volts it registers THEN REV THE MOTOR UP SOME and see if the volts go up on the multi meter. If not then that means the Regulator/Rectifier is NOT charging your battery so every time you go riding with the lights on it is discharging the battery. If you already replaced the Stator you then need to replace the Regulator/Rectifier. Alleyoop

Friday I will be getting the multi meter, but for now all I have is a trickle charger. Had no problems in the rain after they changed out the battery. How much should the rectifier cost?

I never had to replace the stator cause I believed getting the battery new had done the trick. Also should a kill switch and headlight/starter switch cost me around 55$??

Well if you are getting a multi meter you can test the stator if that was not replaced. That way you will know which one is the culprit or both are. You may find that the stator is not putting out to the Regulator/Rectifier. Right now without testing the STATOR you don't know if the problem is the STATOR and or the REGULATOR/RECTIFIER. Find the R/R on your scoot and take a pic of it and a picture of the PLUG and COLOR of the wires from the stator to the R/R. They have so many of them you need to match it up. They are usually not expensive, Find what motor is on there it is probably a 139QMB motor but you need to get one and match it up to what is on there. www.amazon.com/Rectifier-regulator-4-stroke-139qmb-Scooter/dp/B00CIHG46C

So your saying your killswitch is not working? Have you checked to make sure the wires going to the switch are plugged in? Your headlight have you checked to see if may the bulb is blown and or wires not connected or ground wire etc..
Just because a switch does not do what it's supposed to do DOES not mean the switch is bad it could be a ground wire and or live wire came loose etc..
Don't want you to just throw money at it and find it is a wire that came loose.
WAS EVERYTHING WORKING BEFORE this HAPPENED WHEN IT GOT SOAKED? The HEADLIGHT COULD BE CAUSED BY A BAD STATOR and OR R/R it all depends on how it is wired.

Well I'm going to get some money Friday, but thinking of taking it to another shop then where I bought the trike. I know the headlight itself works turns out that the side to side method of on off is causing troubles. The shop. They replaced the battery for free once. I think my friend Carson really knows what to do. Saturday morning I will be there at his place.
