OK guys here's the latest.. lol took Carb off and cleaned it . it's running again.. Changed to 11g sliders (the smallest I've seen to order) and now get up into mid 6000's on rpm... and the RPM seems better through the low speed ranges. actually picks up speed up hill from slow speed up to around 44mph uphill WOT. still max speed around 56 or so on flats.. Oh Ya.. I'm running a RED Contra spring in clutch too.... Belt rides all the way up on the variator did the red sharpie test .. LOL I did notice when I had carb apart the low jet is a 38 H the main jet is a 118 H its a 30mm carb But I notice the 30's they sell come with a 125 or better main jet think upping it might help top end speed?? just did a kill switch stop in front yard and I'm gonna pull the spark plug and see how it looks..... OK I think that's all the Information I have at the present so now I'll anxiously await y'alls suggestions....... EDIT.......... Here's pic of plug Think it's running a little Lean?

chocolate brown is the target.. white is quite a ways away. lol definitely need to get bigger main jets and start swaping out. now just gotta find size and source There's a coupla different ones from what I've seen on the internet..... and apparently from my searches no one has really gotten into modding the 300cc trikes.....

I have been considering a 300cc trike but I would want it to do 55 with ease and close to 70 WOT. Maybe I should be reconsidering.

I wouldn't jump because of my problems.. mine is like 1st or 2nd production 2010 they have made great strides. for the smallest outlay the Chinese are the way to go. but you either need a VERY good friend who does small motors , dirt bikes, atv's etc or be good yourself cause when S#@t happens it's really up to you to take care of it unless you happen to live near Jim at RapidRepair.. LOL Although if I had it to do over ,,, I found www.casscountytrikes.com (i'm not affiliated in any way) in Missouri..,,, They do trike kits for motorcycles.. I would go that way instead Find a low mileage 800cc or so 3000-4000 then another 2500-4000 for the kit depends on motorcycle used....

There are jet size charts on the internet. (they correlate jet size with drill bit sizes)
I never did buy the proper jet on my 150. What I did after I printed the chart I got a couple welding tip drill bits and a pin vise. I kept drilling the main bigger then went one size too big so I soldered it shut and drilled one size smaller. I was always going to buy the right size that I had determined but never did. Before the scooter was wrecked it was still running perfect over 5000 miles later with the soldered jet.

I was referring to the physical size. lol there are different height width and screw dimensions.. different brands have difference in jets. without having a brand to work with it's hunt and peck.... another thrilling FEATURE of Chinese trikes

That is exactly why I drilled in the first place.

ok well I guess it's new carb anyway. went for trial run and started bucking a low speed...... the air adjust screw fell out... lol Wish Alley and Jim would check in want their opinion on either a 30mm or 32mm pumper type...... At least buying a generic Brand Name type carb i'll be able to order parts for it.. lol EDIT... Went to scrappy website the show a 32mm carb for the linhai vog 250 260 300 so I ordered one and a new intake to match... don't know how they ship but be at least 3-4 days + to Pennsylvania. lol done screwing with it till then....
