I have a GY-6 139qmb 50cc upgraded to the 80cc (72cc) bbk, A-9 cam, performance variator 8g roller weights, clutch and torque spring's,performance cooling fan, hot coil, performance cdi, performance spark plug, 20mm carb with a #88 short jet. Am I ok with the number 88 jet, with cold air and performance exhaust? I have been asking and asking with no response yet. I don't want to ruin all the work I have thrown on this engine. I bought it new in 2011 and I have just took it off chassis and went nuts on it!! From the engine swing arm and engine mounts bushings, new timing chain, engine block seals and gaskets. New variator 8 pole factory was four, or will it have no effect at all? New fuel hoses completely new all connections and a improved chassis and engine grounds. just took everything except the rear end and took everything factory and put either just a replacement starter, but if it was Chinese factory constantly failing parts even before they would put aftermarket parts and performance parts where I could!! Thanks in advance for the help if you can. My email is Howard.william29@gmail.com Home 100 harvette road Washington nc 27889

I can't give you a total answer but since you have decided to hot rod the scooter I will tell you how we did it in the old days. You put in a main jet, take the scooter out and run it flat out. After a short time you hit the kill switch and pull the spark plug. If it's white, you are too lean and need a bigger main jet. Once you get a nice light brown plug reading you're there. And that's how we did it in the old days.
