Have you checked if the Spark Plug is getting juice? If you have another Spark Plug just take the Boot off the Plug thats on the engine and put the extra Spark Plug in the BOot and Ground it to the Valve Cover and crank it. You should see a Spark and it should be nice and strong blueish color. If no spark make sure the Kill Switch is OFF and the scoot is on the Center Stand some scoots have a safety kill switch on the SideStand and that has to be up.
Also How many miles on the scoot, I as assuming it turns over but will not start. Have you checked if your getting gas to the Carb. You can take the Fuel Line off the Carb and put it in a container and crank the engine Fuel should STREAM out of the Fuel Line. Lets just start with those. Alleyoop

rhdavidson, you need to give more information than what you have provided here. Does it cough, sputter, chug-chug, whine, crank-crank, get the idea. Give us some clues, IE strong fuel smell etc.

if i jump the two harness under the dash i can get it to turn over and crank, horn and turn signals work also but no spark at sparkplug. have removed all plastic.the two six point plug ins under dash are the ones i jumped, but if they are hooked up prperly it wont do anything. fues in fuse box are all good also the one near battery.

Well if no spark, it could be a Bad Coil, Bad CDI, bad pick up Coil, now in the tech section there are HOW-TOs to check your Coil and CDI and more. There is also how to disconnect the KIll Switch from your CDI in case its a bad Kill switch. But If no spark it is only a few things so that is good. Alleyoop

put jumper wire in 2 pin harness connector of gy6 mini relay which is just behind voltage regulator. dash lights and license plate turn on even when key switch is off. power is going in to key switch but harness is missing wire where power comes outof key switch harness! what is going on here!

If you jump that relay, all lights including headlights will come on without the key. Do the headlights come on? Also, we will have a much better chance of helping if you can send some pics especially where the wire is missing.

go back to basic the chinese are not clean with electrical connections start near the battery , follow the black wire ( - ) to maybe the regulator be sure the eye loup is crimped well and the connection is good , pull it off wipe the underside put vasaline/dielectric grease put it back together ( at this point you should have black from battery a thin green all mounted to the regulator) next near the dip stick green wire check it
//// how many wires are on the key switch

Taking about brake switch, also try the other Brake to see if works or not. Sometimes one brake is at fault but the other brake works. Alleyoop

first, thanks for the help. ok, new harness, no jumper wires, own multi meter.dont know what prior mechanic did toit, after 3 months he gave up. ignition switch has 6 wires red,red/white,black,black/white,brown/white,orange. brown/white and orange are not used. harness side has 4 wires, red, green, black and brown/white. red on harness goes to red on switch, black onharness goes to red/white on switch, green on harness goes to black on switch, brown/white on harness goes to black/white on switch. the red/yellow at solenoid is hot when key is on , according to dr. jr this should be ground! i tried your test and blew the fuse ,again! both brake switches work and all but light fuses are hot in fuse box. at start switch yellow/red is hot with key on and passes juice to yellow which also goes to kill switch when start switch is activated.green and black/white at kill switch are grounded. is this all correct? this scoot only has 26 miles on it and was returned to dealer.

now iunderstand the starter button grounds solenoid when activated but my red yellow is getting power thru solenoid harness. when i unplug solenoid harness red/yellow isnt powered on harness side. solenoid plugged in red/yellow has voltage . tried new solenoid and same thing. used meter on solenoid off harness and both show complete circuit thru solenoid fromgreen/yellow to red/yellow.
