Oh my gosh, I'm a Muggle and didn't even know it! Was at the state park by my house a few weeks ago and was watching as 3 different cars pulled into this little quiet spot I know - usually no one there. One with 6 kids who bolted from the car spreading out looking for something! This is pretty neat! I might hide a few things myself! -Rich

damin, gc13zcd it's called Citizen Soldiers nd its in the parking lot behind my house. There is a Nat Guard station in the center, hence the name of the geocach. It's a micr0, 2/5 and 1.5/5. Last found 5/18/10 or ten days ago. maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=39.625677,-105.112598&spn=0.00075,0.001725&t=h&z=19 It's in this parking lot. the house on the left with the red roof is my next door neighbor. The house below it with the white car parked out front of it is mine. So getting to the geocach is easy but it's driving me crazy. Thanks for your help.

Ok Well it says it is a Micro so it will be small. from the aerial view and location in the corner of the parking lot there I would say in the trees look in every crack and crevis of the trees. Look at the base of the trees for possibly a FAKE Rock. Check all the limbs might be in the tree hanging. If t here are any holes at the base of the tree look inside of them. It is only a 2 diffuculty so should not be to hard to find it is just a matter of know where to look and what to look for. Look for anything that might be just a bit out of place and pick it up. Even if it LOOKS like trash you might be suprised.
You are right that bad boy is RIGHT in your back yard. I do not have any that close to my house. Closest one to me is like 1.3 miles away.

Ginny, After looking at the logs it leads me to believe that you will be looking for a very unique type of cache that is hidden by use of camoflage. So as I said leave NO STONE unturned Litterally. Check every branch also I have found some where there is a loose branch stuck in a hole in the tree it looks like it belongs but comes right out and walla there is the cache in the end of the branch. it could be as small as this. but I dont think so. It could look like one I made here. Feel free to look through my geocaching photos might give you some other ideas of what to look for also. www.pbase.com/damin69/geocaching

Hey Ginny, going by the google map its probably in the NE corner of the lot probably in the trees. I been playing around with my gps getting used to it so I can go out and do some scootcaching tomorrow. ;D The past 15 yrs I have been the puzzle solver for all the video games my son has played so this should be fun. Not that Im good at it. Im just persistant. -Zug

This is what I have loaded up in my GPS for tomorrows trip of ScootCaching. that big blank circle area that is clear around my home area is because I have found all of them within a 25ish mile area around my house. This is our Main Target area. There is one in particular that we are going after and that is this one. We did not find it last year on one of our scoot trips so we are hoping second time is a charm. www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=883613c6-8414-49ab-9f86-61b215689052

Phone GPSs are OK for Geocaching but generally aren't as accurate as a dedicated GPS receiver. I've tried using my ATT Tilt and it's just ok. I'm aware of the limitations of the phone GPS, but I think it'll be a good starting platform. I actually once tried tracking a ride I took on the Schwinn using Google Tracks. The general track was fine, but you could tell that the precision wasn't there because if you zoomed in on the track (on GoogleMaps) it looked like a zig-zag line going down the trail. Perhaps I'll try to post a link to that later. Still not bad and it was definitely functional, but I would that a newer dedicated GPS would surely have better precision.

I went out and found 4 of 5 today! I think the 5th one is missing. I found a couple empty beer cans and a lighter where it should be. Another Casher came up and helped me look for it for about 15 mins before we both gave up on it. -Zug
EDIT: hey Gin, if you decide to get a dedicated GPS I highly recommend the PN-40. The things amazing!

Andrew you did better than we did today. We found 5 all together today and had about 10 DNF today. Was not a good day on the caching part but was a Great Day on the scooting part. We put on 167+ miles today it was great. We left at about 9:30 am got back about 8:45 pm. I will try and upload my GPS track later I have not even logged my caches yet.

Yeah, I was 9 of 12 I think it was. There were some nice views but I was too busy having fun to remember to take any pics. Even though the parking lot type micro caches are creative and crafty the way they are hidden I found I like the parks better. I dumped the caches I had loaded and used the google maps thing and loaded about 250 of them that were in the parks. That should keep me busy for quite some time and also should be good hiking and scootin. -Zug PS: I shouldnt drink coffee after 11pm......

Todays 130 mile Scoot Cache journey managed to net me 18 of 19 caches today. Weather was in the upper 80s today. Got a bit of a sunburn today I really should have put on some sun screen. Probably drank 2 gallons of water. Left the house about 11:30 this am. Got home about 8:30 tonight.
