Elevation is on MY mind! As MSILSF's former Vice-President, Carl M. Hancock, Esq. so aptly opined today, this is going to be a roller-coaster race. When the route was revised, no consideration whatsoever was given to altitudes, or altitude changes. For those of you who raced Hell's Loop T.T. and thought the elevation changes were radical -- Baker Grade to Death Valley to Panamint Springs -- STAND BY! This is going to be one tough extreme endurance -- perhaps the MOST extreme MSILSF race to-date. Why, you ask? Take a look for yourself:
South Lake Tahoe, CA Elevation: 6281 feet; Latitude: 38°.939926/Longitude: 119°.977186
Carson City, NV Elevation: 4693 feet; Latitude: 39°.163798/Longitude: 119°.767403
Reno, NV Elevation: 4526 feet; Latitude: 39°.529632/Longitude: 119°.813802
Truckee, CA Elevation: 5818 feet; Latitude: 39°.327962/Longitude: 120°.183253
Auburn, CA Elevation: 1239 feet; Latitude: 38°.896565/Longitude: 121°.07689
Placerville, CA Elevation: 1869 feet; Latitude: 38°.729625/Longitude: 120°.79854
South Lake Tahoe, CA Elevation: 6281 feet; Latitude: 38°.939926/Longitude: 119°.977186
Tahoma, NV Elevation: Unknown; Coordinates: Unknown
Incline Village, NV Elevation: 6438 feet; Latitude: 39°.249683/Longitude: 119°.952684
South Lake Tahoe, CA Elevation: 6281 feet; Latitude: 38°.939926/Longitude: 119°.977186
HOLY CRAP, BATMAN!

Dear Racer, Attached please find current docs regarding the Lake Tahoe T.T. 320-Mile Ultra-Extreme Endurance Race, May 4th 2014. The race route has been radically revised, and the length of the race shortened by fifty-five miles. Never the less, the race is far more challenging! There will only be one lap around the lake -- the last one. Make no mistake about it, the weather will be on the cool side. If you have any friends interested in competing, please refer them towww.motorscooterlandspeedfederation.org to start the entry process. Depending upon the number of entries, MSILSF may award a small amount of prize money for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Places overall. Anyone interested in racing a motorcycle in this or any other MSILSF event may do so in accordance with the Rules/Classes promulgated by Bill Murar for the "Tiddler Division" of The Real Cannonball. The charitable donation from entry fees received for the "Tiddler Division" will go to the Childrens' Burn Fund described at www.lakeerieloop.com. Also, dates have been posted for the Lake Erie Loop www.lakeerieloop.com and the ScooterCannonball www.scootercannonball.com. This latter event, a fast-paced rally, has been increased in length for 2014 to 3,500 miles! Thank you very much for your continued support and competitive spirit. Sincerely, Alan
