Can someone help me ? I picked up this 250cc water cooled buggy from a friend and it has no wires on it. I been researching it on line and getting nowhere! I cant find no number on the motor. I did find a serial number on the chassis . Looking on line that gets me nowhere either. the buggy looks like a kandi kd250fs. The serial number on it is *SLCK-250-50500071* Can anyone help me with what this is, and where i can find a wiring diagram!

Tpcole2 PM'd and asked for some help with his wiring, I thought I would just post it on the this thread that he started. I will quote just the important concerns from his message. It is all tech so I don't think any privacy issues are present.

there is no black/red wire coming from the generator. Coming from the motor i have a three pin connector all three yellow wires. One of the three yellows has a single wire pigtail off of it.

The B/R wire is for an AC CDI, this is a DC CDI system as are most 250s. With this DC system you'll have three yellows coming off of the stator which are the three legs of the three phase stator. They run to the regulator and are rectified to DC. The pigtail is a split to power the auto-choke:

I also have a two pin connector with a green and a blue wire. They must be from the pulse generator.

Yep, the blue turns into a blue/yellow that runs to the CDI and is the trigger pulse wire:

Sometimes the colors are different on the wires from what the diagrams say. Just keep in mind that the position on the CDIs is always the same. Wire your CDI according to these positions:

The killwire isn't always present since a DC system can shut down by turning off the power to the black wire. Alley has the easiest system for determining if the CDI is AC or DC. Test the Black wire or whatever wire is in the power feed position. With the key on you should get 12v DC:

In the unlikely event that there was a B/R coming from the stator it would only be hot when the stator is turning. When you turn the key off it stops the power to the CDI and the bike stops:

If you do have a killwire, as I do on my Fashion, it will have continuity to ground with the key off as it grounds out the spark:

Out of the regulator i have a three pin connector with a green, red, and a black wire. With my meter taking readings,

The green is ground, the red runs to charge the battery and also runs to the ignition switch. The black wire becomes hot when the key is on and provides most of the power to the scooter:

With the engine running and above 2000 RPMs you should get about 14v DC on the red wire. The black will be about 12v DC.

is it possible to buy a new dc cdi and a coil, and wire it to my pulse generator and regulator/generator combination and make this buggy go down the road?

Sure is, follow this diagram:

But you won't have the B/R from the stator; you'll a black power wire from the ignition instead, then a black/yellow coil feed, a blue/white trigger, and a ground. Let us know if you need more help.[/b]

I have the same buggy. it was completely stripped of wiring and the CDI, Regulator. I have figured out the wiring but do not know where the CDI and regulator bolt on any help would be appreciated.
