I asked the question of has someone changed wiring and I also agree with Rich the diagram Alley posted shows AC feed to the CDI, I didn't mention it earlier and also one would not get a correct voltage reading on just one wire of a two wire pulse coil, which is a first for this scooter that I've seen. But as we know the Chinese will grab anything off the shelf the day they make them if they don't have the right part. To read it you would put each volt meter lead to each wire because 0.2 won't cut it, you had to have more, minimum is 0.5.
Now if you don't want the alarm and believe me you don't then when you disconnect it you'll have to put a jumper in so the kill switch will work. I need to know the colors of the wires going into the alarm. I will and can name a lot of them and I'm looking for two in particular,
Black/white Brown/white
Other colors =
orange light blue black green red
A clear picture of the wires on the alarm plug would help too. Do remember you kill switch is important and it works again by grounding out the CDI.
Good job, glad she's running and we'll tag this thread for memory of the pulse coil again a first.

I agree but better safe than sorry on this one, already have a odd ball on the pulse coil?

I glossed over it..my big bad...that could have messed a lot of folks up. It's a great thing we have here people...Alley and Jack...that's a fact...as Alley would say. Yes, there's a minimum voltage to the CDI to initiate a consistant spark. The trigger doesn't have anything to do with generating the spark but you need a clean signal to initiate a consistent spark.
