I don't know much about mopeds or engines. But I want to see if you all can help me. I have a 150cc 2008 tank moped. Has a GY6 engine. So here's the problem. Moped starts fine when cooled down but I can only get about 15-20 mins or less of driving time on it. After that time the engine loses power and the throttle is pointless and slowly slows down and eventually dies. I cant figure out what the problem is. May be an electrical problem or something else might be wrong I don't know.....another thing that happened is that there was smoke that came out the front of the bike by the light area but I fixed the wires I think and moped runs again. Also I live in hawaii so weather and climate shouldn't be a problem.

There are instructions in the tech section here about how to do valve adjustments. Also videos on Youtube.

Your gas tank vent is clogged. As the gas pulls down the vacuum increases and pffft...it stalls. You sit a while and enough air seeps into the tank so that it can start again. To confirm this loosen the gas cap and see if that stops the problem...if so, let us know and we will do the fix. Valves are on the table too...let's get the cap off first...HAR!Rich
