An auto parts store but get a blade style fuse holder and get rid of the glass tube fuse i think it will be too much work to change to the blade right now. do you know where i can get this little wire online if my local auto parts store doesn't have it? or it will have it for sure?

Shouldn't have a problem,,,you just blew the fuse correct? The red wire that is in the picture with the black arrow pointing to it. That's what I messed up. I need a new one and don't know where to get it.

Fuse Wire

I accidentally touched the red fuse wire shown in pic with the other part of battery and it blew up. There was smoke everywhere. Could I have messed up anything else when this happened, besides the wire? Moped was not on at the time. Also where can I get a new one?

Thanks, As is said - a picture is worth a thousand words. I just wish they had turned out better. I have taken pics that close up before. Guitarman was the one who said strip the wires and just connect them. I'm doing that and it works flawlessly. I also had to replace a lot of parts and adjust the valves on the scooter. Happy it works. Thanks all.

Thanks for actually putting up pictures on how to do it. Anyone else would be too lazy to do something like that. Rotate and offset:
Insert one into other using insulation to hold:

Richard I tried that, too. But since my moped wouldn't start I assumed I needed to completely connect them by putting all of one connector into the other. Thank you for verifying that this works though. I'm going to purchase a battery charger or a new battery because that's the other problem. Also, if I already cut the green and red wires with a little of the actual wires sticking out can I just touch them to each other by wrapping one wire around the other that's stripped a little? This is what Alley recommended in my other thread.

I just broke the green connector off when trying to crimp it with pliers, a lot.
*Sigh*
I am going to just take it to my local scooter shop. Thanks anyway.

Oh, and keep all your responses in this thread. Having two conversations on the same thing is too confusing for Bashan. He's old and doesn't see well anymore. So be sure and focus your camera. My camera doesn't have focus. It sucks. The stranger that fixed my moped simply connected these female connectors and told me to disconnect them to turn the moped off. I don't know what else you want to know to understand what my dilemma is, really. I told you, I want to know how to connect these 2 female spade connectors.

I see two female spade connectors. If you turn them opposite to each other you should be able to push them together. Not the best but works in a pinch. That is exactly what I have. Now I know what they're called. Now what do you mean turn them "opposite to each other"? I just have them face each other and try to push the green into the red one like a USB cable into a USB port? Is one to be upside down or something when pushing together? Do I have to squeeze the green connector with pliers a bit to get it to fit into the red one? I tried putting them together already but that's what I can't since they're both the same size...

That link does not work. So are you trying to reconnect the wires to the ignition or hot wire it? Alleyoop Works for me. Try here imgur.com/PX0uykt,gl7BPXL and also try adding http and www. I do not want to do any hot wiring, just reconnect the wires then disconnect to turn off the moped since the key only turns lights on.

I broke off the switch that turns my 2012 Duster moped on and off... then later the moped wouldn't even start. Some stranger was able to locate the problem for me (it was the little black box with the broken switch) and told me to just manually connect the wires from now on, i.e. until I take it to a shop for repair. So I disconnected the wires yesterday but can't for the life of me figure out how to reconnect them into each other. I included the pictures of the wires for someone who knows how these work to teach me. gyazo.com/7798c2243f8d6ed3348845512a441ad0gyazo.com/11e8ae6b82c095a4b0c95515c51ba068
