That sucks JR. I'm hoping your experience is the exception and not the rule. I myself am a big fan of Amazon. I've never had an issue with them. For at least the last 10 years, I've had half a dozen cards on file with them and have had no issues. In that time, I have had only one shipping issue. I contacted them and they sent a replacement, no questions asked. I found out later that it was actually a FedEx mistake. They delivered the package to my neighbor, who told me about it weeks later. I am a Prime membership subscriber and I find that to be an incredible value.
What I've found is that if an item is fulfilled by Amazon, it's smooth sailing. If it is fulfilled by a third-party seller, it's luck of the draw for shipping speed and accuracy.
As for the scooter itself, I've had my eye on it for a while. The TaoTao Thunder 50, in my opinion, is the best looking scooter on the market. Those LED accent lights are a plus too. I wish they made it in a 150.

That is so true if they are the ones shipping it, they ship fast and like you said no problems at all with them. Alleyoop

Never said Amazon didn't deliver their products, ship correctly nor didn't take care of their mistakes, heck Ebay does that, what I'm saying is their credit card security and their system is flawed and they know it, Read: www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/forums/kindleqna?ie=UTF8&cdForum=Fx1GLDPZMNR1X53&cdThread=Tx1WQEBF3PMXE4RThis is their own forum and you can look up their problems with people getting their cards hacked all the time, same thing happened to people here and even Amazon's own customer service people replied on the forum asking the user to contact them. I'll repeat I bought nothing from Amazon, received another person's order 3 times and their personal address, Amazon account number and credit card info with the orders, not once 3 times now if this doesn't concern you then by all means send them your information and good luck. I would advise anyone using Amazon to use a credit card that is in no way connected to your bank account, make sure you know the credit card's policies on refunding "your" money should they screw up your card and be damn sure you look at your statement each month when it comes in. I'll add a closing statement. I use a card that I've had over 30 years for online purchases if I don't use paypal and the system is simple since I do all the bills and budget at my house. If I owe this credit card company nothing I receive no statement. Since I know when I use the card I know when I'm going to receive my statement in the mail. When this card was hacked I got a monthly statement and my first thought that day was "why am I getting a statement this month, didn't buy anything?" When I opened it and saw a $359 charge to it for a "Amazon" purchase that I DID NOT MAKE I immediately contacted my card company got it deleted, called my attorney and in two days received a information request from Amazon wanting me to sign a statement that I had not purchased the item or received the item in question on the bogus purchase on my credit card bill. I ,let my attorney handle it. They had no problem paying my attorney's fee and apologizing to me. Want to use a company with these known problems again use a card that you could care less about but me? Never have I or will I ever use Amazon. JR

In the last ten years I have had a credit card hacked or compromised at least 6 times, none at amazon, and it has never cost me a dime. The last time it was hacked in eureka springs ar., probably at the motel, some one used my card number on the west coast right after I checked in. Never heard what the amount was though. Stuff like that happens all the time.
Getting back to the original thread title, I have bought there and will again if they have what I want and the right price. When spending money cash is not as safe as a card, and a debit card is the worst you can do. If there is a problem with a purchase I want my credit card there to do the fighting for me. As far as interest just pay it all off each month and zero interest.

Do the same use a card that paid off monthly no interest, not tied to my bank account and when idiots from Amazon hacked into it they backed me up and prosecuted the "employee" from Amazon that was so stupid with my credit card that he paid his home electric bill with it.
The same company that sent me another person's credit card info, address and the orders he had ordered from amazon while living in another state. What's even funnier is I had never ordered anything from Amazon and they were trying to tell me the other Jack Ryan had the same email to confirm the orders and they sent the order confirmations and date of delivery to that email, yea right.
Want to order from a company that does crap like that, knock yourself out. Make sure when they send you someone elses order that has the same name as you do along with the same email too that you get in contact with them so they can get their order and then cancel your own credit cards and order new ones with different numbers and if you need the attorney generals number let me know.
