I have a 50cc Linhai that sat for about two years. I cleaned the carburetor, replaced the battery, and filled the tank with fresh gas.
It will turn over, but not fire up.
I pulled the fuel inlet hose and blew through the fuel filter, then pulled the hose from the other side while I was cranking it and there is a dribble of fuel coming out as I cranked the engine over.
How much should normally come out?
I will need to take a picture of the ignition coil wire, when I pulled it off to check the plug, it looked like a ceramic cylindrical thing, a spring, and a brass threaded piece fell out. What the heck is that?

That brass threaded piece with a little spring/clip is what holds the actual spark plug in the boot. You SHOULD be able to simply screw it back in.

Where does that little ceramic looking piece go? Above or below the spring?

I pulled the spark plug, when I took the coil wire off of the plug, that's when the spring, ceramic doodad and brass piece fell out.
I put it back together (probably all wrong) and attached the plug and hit the starter but I didn't see spark on the plug. I assumed I reassembled the coil wire incorrectly. I didn't get a chance to take pics last night of what those coil wire pieces look like.

You did ground the plug when you were checking for spark didn't you? You might as well order a coil, you won't be able to trust that plug boot. Rich

You ground it by holding the electrode against the valve cover, then crank it with the killswitch set to run. No, you didn't hurt it, the heat degrades them and they fall apart. Order one of the orange coils, they last longer. Rich

Thanks Rich. Where is a good supplier? I found one on Amazon, but it's black.
