www.cfmoto.com.au/news/?catID=&newsID=283&action=viewNot exactly how they wanted it but this finish by an Independent was very notable. Another surprise was British rider, Callum Laidlaw who raced his maiden TT on a CFMoto 650NK using a standard engine and suspension. The 24 year old’s best lap was the final where he clocked a 21.20 and finished a very respectable 33rd place with top speed of 106mph. Of his finish, Laidlaw said "I am so happy to have got a finish for CFMoto and WK bikes on their 650NK machine. I think the machine is fantastic and I want to compete many more times on this bike. “Let's hope for CF Moto that "Race on Sunday, sell on Monday" really does pay off With 2014 marking the first year a Chinese manufactured bike finished the illustrious Isle of Man TT Race, CFMoto has undoubtedly left a deep impression on many people both on and off the track.

huh?? whoah wait a minute, i just woke up after a afternoon nap and this is what i see in the computer? A chinese scooter top the isle of TT? ?? guys pls pinch me, must be having a nightmare, and it even hit the speed of 106mph??? a chinese scooter? ?? if this is a joke pls stop it, its not funny. im sure some CFmoto dealers pursuaded the other participants of the race to slow down so the cfmoto can win the race, lol oh well, another marketing strategy.

Obviously not fully awake. The vehicle in question is this one. cfmoto-us.com/products/motorcycles/2014/650-nkThe full factory bike didn't finish, which stinks, but an independent entry with basically stock bike finished 33rd. BTW Luke, the last new motorcycle to enter the IOM in 1957 was Yamaha. And before you say it must have been easy if a China bike finished. Behold the Isle of Man TT course.

I don't know about luke or any one else for that matter who would not do just like me and crap my shorts on that course. I am not afraid of speed alone, the fastest I ever rode when I had the bandit was 140 in 3rd gear but I had a wide clear view with mostly straight riding. Did it several times and cut it when I hit the red line.

The guys who rip the isle have balls of steel,,,,it is not for the faint of heart,,,the factory bikes are state of the art,,,no limitations,,so it's run what you brung,,,i wouldn't mind running it but it would be on one of the smaller classes of course,, ,,, the pedal tricycle class or something retarded like that,,,lol,,,anyways i'd give it a run,,nothing over 200cc

I wouldn't mind cruising the IOM, but race on it? Forget it. Two guys were killed this year and they're not changing a thing. Do you see all concrete, trees and other hazards he was whistling past?
130 mph Luke? What happened when you hit the ground after going off that cliff?

he did put kph at the bottom of the post,,,i can imagine you could squeeze 100-110mph out of the morph with a few judicious mods,,weight does not affect terminal velocity,,,and it is very close to the correct shape you need at high speed,,,i said in another post that i was surprised that no one was running the thing on the salt in utah,,,but on the isle you have to turn this is the morphs downfall,,,and there are some crazy corners there,,,,,

I for one am glad they aren't changing it or trying to make it safer,,huge intimidation factor for the rider,,,it weighs heavy on their minds,,they know one get off can mean the dirt nap at any moment,,,,may the best man and machine win,,literally and if you don't have your head on straight you don't win,,,that's racing at it's best,,even if you have a superior machine

That guy or girl is moving looks scary. If there was a crash I would think there would be a trip to the hospital.

That's true. The Aussies get that fabulous little Leader with the 150 engine. If they sold that here.....oh, if only.

Not sure what the deal is, a scooter or motorcycle that was built to the toughest spec's should be able to pass in all the countries with lesser spec's. As a calif scooter is legal in all 50 states. If the only model difference between counties were km/miles on the speedometer the cost to make could down because no production change overs. Even if one model did not sell well in a country you just don't export many then. The chinese speedometers are dual except the odometers. Again in chinese scooters if the importer doesn't buy one model it just gets sold some where else.
Some one is missing the boat.

Unfortunately, CFMOTO does not always play by the rules...and has run afoul of the government regulators in more than one instance.
Kinda like when in Animal House , Bluto (John Belushi), demolishes that folk singer's guitar and shrugs and says "sorry".
