Thanks for the video before I may have to get into such a thing but, if you don't mind a wee bit of criticism, you should be putting each group of screws and components in there own container to keep them organized for reassembly. That was something pounded into me way back when I started fixing things with Grandpa. About 55 years ago. "Pounded into me" maybe that's why viewing that made me skittish. I have plastic petri dishes with lids but an egg carton works great.

Well if you ever taken a carb apart the screws I found are all the same. Plus there are not that many on a carb. GOOD JOB RICH. Alleyoop

OK, here's a rough draft on the final post for the Library. The second video just sucks as far as the res so I think I'm going to have to redo it. But let's see how this flies with some still pix with the video. Comments are welcome:
Disassembling the CF 250 carburetor:
Here is an outside view of the carb:
These are some of the components we will be dealing with on assembly. All metal parts including the carb body and passages should be cleaned with carb cleaner:
Remember the ACV has an O ring that must be in place on assembly!
Other components:
This float is not adjustable since there is not a bendable mount:
Here's the assembly video:

If I'd had help (to run the camera), we could've added pix of mine getting worked on today as well. Looks good.

Good job Rich I know it takes a lot of time and effort to do Videos. Thanks Bud, put those PORNO VIDS in the Carb section on how to get up close and personal with a 30mm carb. Alleyoop

What do you use for carb cleaner? My experience is that the aerosols will not get them as clean as the one you show and here we can't get the pint/quart cans with the parts basket included. Now it's the spray bombs or by the gallon and I don't want to store a gallon and have most of it go bad before the need arises. I do have a small ultra sonic cleaner for model railroading but it's too small for an entire carb.

Thanks Alley, that is much appreciated, you too donut man. RV, I just use Gumout Jet Spray Carb + Choke cleaner. It literally blasts the crud off of the outside of the body. It does a great job on the passages too. Pretty rank smelling stuff, I only use it outside the shop.
