That's really interesting that it went to Rochester first, before down to where you are. I would have figured Syracuse or Scranton since I don't think Binghamton has a major USPS facility. I grew up outside of Rochester actually. It's my stomping grounds up there. Matt I've seen other shippers, UPS for one, fly into Syracuse, not the Post Office. I don't care. Your stuff gets here like lightning anyway. Forty-eight hours from Florida to New York? I'm old enough to remember when stuff took a couple of weeks. You're faster than Bike Bandit and Motorcycle Superstore......not that I order scooter stuff from them...just some things for the motorcycle. You know tires, OEM parts...not scooter things.

And I didn't say become a dealer, Matt. I was thinking you could be the next Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki....etc, USA distributor for some Chinese company. You couldn't do any worse than some did and since you have a handle on what fails most in what Chinese brands, maybe better.
Peace is doing a terrible job distributing Bashan and they're not bad scooters. My 50cc Cub clone is built by Bashan and it's a darn good device. Yet the people at Green Earth scooters, their sales arm, never heard of it.
They need to get scooters out of Flea Markets and into a network of dealer where they belong. Selling bikes in crates to people who don't know crap about how to set them up has stabbed them in the heart.
CF Moto US doesn't sell as many units as CF Moto Australia and there is way more money and people here.
I'll stop, but you know what I mean.

It's just like how the Honda Ruckus is over engineered and has already failed on us despite that it only has 2xxx miles on it. Because Honda included so many things that could go wrong, when things do go wrong they are an expensive fix. For example, the fuel pump on the ruckus is electric and it's $65, well that's too bad that our fuel pump failed on it, looks like it won't be running for awhile. And then once you get one problem fixed it's another. The Honds Ruckus actually had an engine control unit, and it needed to be reset after replacing parts. Can you believe that Honda would put a whole engine control computer into a 50cc scooter? It's ridiculous. If that thing ever fails you might as well get another bike. But our chinese scooters? If something fails, big deal it probably won't be catastrophic and it will be a cheap fix. the yamaha Zuma's have a check engine light. they are fuel injected I think. it's nice to have something that the most complex thing on it is a cdi.

In case anyone thinks I only target Vespas, I also lurk at a Helix forum. I found this interesting. www.slonaker.net/helixforum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2989228,000!!! Yikes! Yet on the other side of the sword there are tales of engines wearing out at 30,000 miles. There isn't a more storied scooter in the scooterworld than a Helix. If Chinese scooters start reaching 40,000 miles without rebuilds then I don't see how all the stone throwing is justified.

looks like exhaust valve failure is a fairly common thing. seems like it shouldn't since its a magical vespa.

Enough Luke. Have you seen the posts from Modern Vespa? All your dream bikes are just as crappy as our Chinese Junk. If there was a Yamaha Morphous forum I'm sure it would be exactly the same with blown engines, smoking electronics and shattered plastic pieces that fell off. Except there is no Morphous forum, is there? That's because Americans were too smart to buy it and they ended up in Circuses as Clown-cycles for people to laugh at. Oh, and my Chinese fleet is catching up to your magnificent Weinercycle despite the fact that I only get to ride half as much as you. We have six to seven months of winter here and even now it's 49 degrees out there. I'll ride today.
And don't get me started on British mechanics. They brought leaky motors and Lucas Electrics to this country. They didn't get it right until they started copying the Japanese, the same as the Chinese do now.

And if you want to hear an opinion from a British citizen, not a MOTORCYCLE DEALER trying to sell overpriced bikes, see this. on you Luke.
