The jerky takeoff could be the clutch may be glazed ,,,,I'd be pulling the cvt cover anyway to check things out

IF the pads still have plenty of material just get some sandpaper and take the glaze off. The clutch pads get glazed much faster if when starting off you are real easy on the throttle. Happens a lot on the 250s due to their weight and guys going easy on the throttle starting off. When glazed the clutch slips on the bell with low rpms and finally grab the bell good once more rpms are applied.

yeah this thing has been abused. Previous owners were idiots. Fix everything with wire ties and tape. The cable for the seat release broke so they used a bolt to hold it in place. As long as i get the mechanical problems fixed she can worry about the paint herself. Everything has to be pink, I kid you not.
