Hey josht0227.....glad your scooter is giving you good service. I'm just saying that your speed and fuel usage claims are flat out impossible, with only a few holes drilled in the airbox, and a free flow exhaust.
You are confusing mph with kph, and mpg with kpg. 55 kph on your speedometer, equals 34 mph.....much more in line with a basically stock, 50cc machine's capability. Same story with fuel economy......150 kilometers per gallon, equates to about 93 (ninety three) miles per gallon. Again, much more in line with the manufacturer's spec sheet. Take a close look at your speedo, believe you'll find I'm right.

By opening up the exhaust and intake a bit... to let the engine breath (and make some RPMs) it will go well above 40. Mine gets to 55 every time I ride it. I'm not telling you it does the 1/4 mile in 4 seconds... it takes a while to wind up but I have had it to 60 on occasion and 55 is a daily occurrence with a bone stock engine with a free flow muffler and a few holes drilled in the air box cover and 14K miles on the clock. Don't believe me? Put some thick money on it and I'll post a video. This bunk is exactly why I bail from this board, another owner with a stock 50 either capable of a Wheelie or doing 55-60mph or both. and then 150mpg, Im calling bs.. No Knobody believes you because its Impossible. So why don't You Walk Your Talk and post up that Video of You and That Scooter? you should be ecstatic to show us a GY50cc doing 60mph

There's no need to adopt flame tactics . I think RKS stated the obvious. A three cubic inch engine only has so much oomph.

There is just no reason to be unpleasant. I find this whole scooter thing quite mystifying where contention is concerned. If we want to be a place where people come for advice then fighting isn't helpful. As JR said, the days of constant friction has to be behind us. I too have been guilty of it but I would like to get away from it.
I'll tell you why. Last month I went on a big motorcycle rally with about three hundred bikes. One day, fifty-two miles. There was one scooter on the run. A BMW 650GT. That's it, one scooter. Why because scooter owners don't like bikes.
Obviously they don't like each other either. Amerivespa is the biggest scooter rally in America. You know how many scooters showed up in the last rally in Richmond, VA? Five hundred. You know how many bikes showed up at the Sturgis Rally? 875,000.
If we want to make this sport grow we gotta stop arguing and pretend we're nice.

Amen to that brother.... I have owned many motorcycles over the years and I love bikes...but I also love my little Roketa 50cc scooter. We all need to be more accepting and respectful with each other... in all aspects of our lives.
We all have our needs and likes and the two wheeler we choose clearly serves those needs and likes so why would anyone else find it necessary to look down their nose?
Honestly I never even knew this was a thing. I'm in CA and riding my scooter I often wave at sport bike riders...and they usually wave back. Yes...I have taken some good nature d ribbing... like once I was at a stop sign and some Vatos pulled up in a super nice low rider... the driver opened up his window and yelled out "Hey... you need a ride?" ... Couldn't help but laugh. Just go easy... respect each other and all will be right with the world...

I don't need to prove my honesty or intelligence to you guys... but like I said, If you're sure of yourselves... put up some cash and I'll do a video. By the way... my speedo is in MPH only...so even someone of my limited intelligence couldn't make a mistake... LOL By the way it won't do 60 anymore.. perhaps with a fresh belt? I find I get more speed with a new belt... as they wear thinner they don't ride as high in the variator.

Yes a fresh belt may help there,,,the thinner the belt the less climb
