Okay my Koso variator + sliders don't get along. I really don't like this Koso and believe it could be a fake because nothing has gone right with it. After 10-15 miles one of the sliders comes undone and that has happened twice now. It's not me putting them in wrong. Everything will be normal (apart from revving too low) then it'll suddenly bog at takeoff and stay that way. When I open it up and check, one of the sliders are upside down. Wish I could return this Koso variator

Take pictures of the Variator from all sides as well as the Variator BACK PLATE that holds the weights in. The only way I see a weight flipping is the VARIATOR PLATE on that one roller is bent enough to allow enough space that the weight flips out of its position. Or the other means would be that that Weight is smaller than the others for some reason.
Put the sliders in and take a picture of the sliders in the ramps to see if one is lower than the others etc.. There has to be a reason for this to be happening. Also if you can measure the depth of the variator with the back plate on as it would fit on the shaft. I can then compare it to mine and I also have a brand new one that I haven't even used. I bought two of them at the same time I have the original one in now for over 2 years running with 12 gram DR. Pulley Sliders.
Here is what I will do If we see something that is different from your KOSO to mine KOSO since you took my recommendations and are having troubles. I will send you the new KOSO FREE of charge. I also have a KS performance Variator brand new in the package which I was going to try but never did and will not. So you can check out the KS performance variator and see if you maybe want that one AGAIN FREE IF we find something different from yours to mine.
I would think the important thing would be the VARIATOR PLATE that holds the weights in and the size of the weights something there is off. Alleyoop
Which Fan plate are you using?

Just F.Y.I When putting on a belt and it sticks out a little on the CRANK and does not allow the FAN splines to grab the splines on the CRANK, WHAT you need to do is get some SLACK on the belt and to get slack on the belt YOU need to push the belt down in the CLUTCH pulley. Then with the slack you can squeeze the belt a little and have it go up a little on the VARIATOR face so you can then fit the FAN pulley so that it grabs the SPLINES.
I need to measure the depth of my KOSO and see if it is SHORTER than yours which look like 1 1/2 inchs deep. I do not like the looks of the VARIATOR PLATE but I have not seen mine in over two years(HAHA). I will take pictures of mine and post them. Alleyoop

Try this to find out if its the WEIGHT or that specific VARIATOR RAMP, Mark the weight and that slot and swap the weight with one next to it. Then see if that same weight flips out of position or the it is that specfic ramp. I am thinking that the weight is hanging up and not moving out but it could be THAT specific ramp or that specific weight. And if it hangs up and not moves out then it would flip when the variator moves out. Alleyoop

My wife and I have been busy around here and I haven't had a chance to box the stuff up and get to the post office and now everything is closed so it looks like monday I will get them out to you.
Bummer about the Variator Tool you have not fitting the fan holes, Complain to the seller not me. I could of pointed you to many other places to get one even EBAY. I pointed you to the TYPE of part you needed, guess next time I try and help by giving a link for a part to someone I will have to make a disclaimer and just say this is the type you need and NOT necessarily this one. Also the right tool is an IMPACT WRENCH to get and put the variator and clutch nuts off and on. Alleyoop

GEE!! See there you go again its my fault you do not have the right tools to take the variator and or clutch off. I do not even know what tool you have to try and lock up the variator to loosen and tighten the nut BUT it's my fault it does not fit blame blame blame. Most of the time it is the right part, But if crap happens beyond my control I do not want to be blamed for a wrong part or a no fit situation, like you are doing. So I guess I have to be more careful who I give out recommendations and or suggestions. You my Dear just soared my outlook but you still will get the parts I promised and you can use them or not.
