go here every time im up north. been going here since I was less than a year old but of course I don't remember that. I love the Houghton lake and Grayling, MI area. they don't show the inside of the visitor center but that's where we always start out when we go.

Nice thanks Lantern,,,sosmetimes i miss being up north,,,then winter sets in and i'm reminded all that beauty has a cost,,,,long cold winters,,,it is awesome tho

I have never been to that part of Michigan but it does look a lot like Wisconsin and the Michigan Upper Peninsula. Minnesota as well.

heres a video by the same guy going thru grayling which is the nearest town to hartwick pines. theres a military installation near here called Camp Grayling. you can look it up on youtube and find lots of vids of the firing range. you always see military vehicles in town. always loved this area and the houghton/ Higgins lake area which are only 10 minutes from here.
