One of my hot-rods was those colors. So I say no, it's masculine.

I live in California. No skirt for me. A fedex mailer envelope under my sweatshirt keeps me toasty on chilly days.

I doubt skirts will ever be mandatory for anyone(anymore), it's more the option. Anyway; a kilt is basically a skirt, and chonglers are basically capris.
Those colors have been a common combo for decades, isn't there an age old hotorod speed shop in cali that basically paints all their cars that color combo? Seems to be common in the hotrod/air cooled VW scenes.

You are correct the color combo was popular. My '65 Volks Wagen Type 1 (Beatle)(Bug) had the Tawny Beige body with the Cadillac Rose fenders and interior materials.

Theres one I see often with the color scheme. It has one of those large chrom luggage racks, and what I guess is false luggage, always on it. |
