Longbo 150 scooter was running on kick start with no battery. I got a battery, can't recall if I have started it off the battery, but I think I did. Now I am not getting any spark. After adding the battery, when I turn the key off or remove the key from the scooter, the alarm beeps 3 times after about 20 seconds. Is this an alarm condition that is keeping it from starting? It cranks fine but I am not getting any spark and have done the basic "no spark troubleshooting" - swapped coil, swapped CDI, checked resistance on the stator.
Used the remote fob to activate/deactivate the alarm, still does the 3 beeps thing. Anyone know what that means from the alarm? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Thinking I heard if you run to long without your battery you mess up your stator . You may have to start there

Check out the library there's a section on how to remove the alarm and put a jumper wire in this place to start the bike ,,and /or see if that's the problem or not

Thanks, for the tip crwford . I did a little searching and found that to be a frequent comment, which could explain why it was running well and then nothing. Stator VAC exciter output is way low. I presume that if the alarm was preventing the engine from starting, it wouldn't effect the exciter output.
