Float stuck in the closed position ( up),, so no fuel getting to the carb,,, it's obviously a fuel issue now that you got it to pop with ether That is what I am thinking. The jet, needle and everything is clean and clear, but I am concerned that I could not hear the float rattle when I shook it after reassembly. Seems like I should be able to hear it move. Before, it may have been partially open allowing the bowl to fill after an hour - so it would start and run great for 30-40 seconds and not restart. Guess I will have to try a 3rd r&r. A big problem is that the drain port was never drilled out in the casting so I can't open and test it. Think I might do that this time.
