Figured I would reuse my thread and lump all my questions and to ease my searches, reference material and not make 100 different ones.

Doing preventive maintenance today and was wondering if this appears to have the governing spacer? From the ride marks it appears it isn't making its way to the top. (finger it at outer most edge)

So at what mileage did you do your first valve adjustment?
Right at 2000 now but even with belt wear and aggressive riding it is running quicker, stronger and faster bone stock.
Side note: not finding anything making me believe it isn't a 50 either..

Still haven't ordered a belt or tires been slacking but current question is,
So I have noticed increased top end from when I got it and most recently after seeing belt was worn.
What would cause the increase?
Should lose top end as belt becomes more narrow not gain....

At 2000 miles I'd say you're finally broken in,,,,I always find my bikes to ride a little smoother and just plain oldie work better after 2-3000 miles and if you haven't adjusted your valves yet now the time

Thanks cy, I'm on it.
Now I can see if it has the governing washer and possibly trim off some of the spacer for some added "illegal" fun.
I GPS'ed it at 43 on flat land before it seemed to run stronger so if I can get 50 I'll be a very happy semi professional moped racer.....

Cleaned, resurfaced and new belt on. No mods to mention, No pics or issues. Internals looked good so back to riding.
Bone stock with new belt gained me 2mph.
Going to wait to monkey with stuff till it's too cold to ride. Till then 45 is good enough for now but I will get 50 or better from that Garbage with ingenuity and minimal money.

Anyone that has taken material off the bushing for the pinch rate of the variatior, how much did you remove and what gains did you get?
