so my engine isn't firing so I'm thinking my magneto isn't in sync. Im no expert so any advice would be appreciated on how to properly install/line up a magneto flywheel.
heres a picture I made of the marks on the side of the magneto what do they mean? which one lines up with the T

First check if you have spark. I think you may be getting ahead of your self, the marks on fly wheel are to set valve timing. The flywheel is not adjustable, is keyed to the crankshaft. The stator is not adjustable either.
Get back with what you have. Engine model is stamped low left side by kickstand. Pictures OD both sides help some times too.

i have a 2008 xy150t four stroke, I have spark, Im checking my magneto because I'm just wondering if i should have it aligned a certain way when i put it on because my engine wont fire but I'm getting fuel and spark

If you have spark you are done on that count. When is the last time the valves were adjusted? One other thing you could try before pulling the valve cover is to try some ether. If that doesn't fire or pop it is valves for sure.
Don't know why you keep looking at mag, you have spark and it can not be wrong or you would not have spark!

so i was thinking, i have compression, if it was a valve problem wouldn't i have no compression? or is this unrelated

You did use a compression tester....You should have about 150 lbs give or take a few lbs. If you do have compression and spark the other thing nesc to start is fuel.

so my scooter is finally running after 4 months(thank god) i changed the spark plug and gas sprang up like flower. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this thread -repur
