Have GY6 that will start and run but then the air cleaner box get full of fuel and keeps running out till fuel tank is empty. This on a go kart with the fuel tank above the carb. Tried adjusting floats no better results so a purchased a new carb and the same thing happens. What else could be causing this that I should look for?

History......new? used? Did it ever run right? Are the hoses connected right? Is this a factory install or has some one put the engine in?
what size engine?

Sure sounds like it is plumbed wrong to me. Check a carburetor diagram to see what lines attach where.

its a 150 cc
Used go kart has been working for like 3 years. Son was running it this spring and said it would stay running. Got new exhaust, plug wire and plug. Had it started and running but when you stop the fuel just starts running out so I removed the carb and adjusted the floats. Seemed to work maybe a little shot on fuel at the top end but after the second time he ran it the fuel started running again. So I bought a new carb and installed. We he ran it the same fuel issue happened again. This has me stomped I don't there should be any way the fuel should get past the needle if the floats are set correctly. I will check the hoses again.
