Last spring of 2020 I installed a 100cc BBK www.amazon.com/dp/B07MVMHRD8?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share and it runs really good, smooth, quick (I try to not drive it fast during the break in but it's so easy for it to get there without realizing it). The problem is the oil is black only after one trip from my work to home and back (total of about 10 miles). I know it's getting hot as the pipe that's connected to the muffler is discolored where it bends and you can hear the creaking of it cooling down after turning it off. It doesn't smoke at all. Right after installation of the BBK, I installed a 95 main jet into the carburetor and gas spewed out of the exhaust so I changed it to 90 and that seems to be perfect after mixture adjustment. I checked the spark plug and it's a light carmel color. Shroud cover is on. I can't think of what I can do to get it cooled other than an oil cooler or just shoving in a 70cc BBK. I can't help but wonder how these 150cc scooters that look exactly like mine are staying cool. I don't see an oil cooler or any other mods. Any idea of what else I can check before I tear it all apart and put back to stock bore until I can get a 70cc BBK. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Very good chance your oil pump isn't working. That happened to my 150cc with a bunch of mods. My Temps shot up real fast.

take your valve cover off and start the scoot with the kill switch on. As the scoots turns over you should see oil being pumped to the cam bearings and top end.

If you don't see any oil then your pump isn't working.
Glad to help. I was on here for a long time a few yrs ago, but I had to register again and start all over , not sure why?

I need to find out why I don't get any notification when someone replies to my posts. Anyway, where should I be looking for oil? Should I take the valve cover off? I took the pump out and don't see any reason why it shouldn't be working. I got the new one in today but ended up being the wrong one. Got the right one ordered now.
