Hoping to get some help here. This scooter was given to me and is my first. I am learning as I go based on reading here and videos. Scooter is a 2008 and has 3900 miles on it.
It is hard to start after sitting. It did sit for probably 2 years without much use. I took apart the carburetor and cleaned it. Still hard to start. Set valves to .005 and .004. No use. Replaced fuel and vacuum hoses since they were cracked. Verified good spark. Replaced carburetor thinking the small jets might be plugged still.
The thing is after it does start, usually by putting a little gas in the top of carburetor it runs great. And while it is still warm it starts really easy. After replacing carburetor it ran great for a few days and I put 30 miles on it. A week later I go to start and really hard to get going again.
Today I went to start it and it was really hard. Pulled plug to see if it was getting fuel and it wasn't very wet. Put it back in and went to start again and it fired right up! 2 hours later hard to start again. Kind of lost on the next thing to check. Flaky CDI?
