OK, sorry, I have not chimed in on this one. my scoot is a full 2 1/2" lower than stock, but I am not sure if that is enough for you. Here is what I did. I have the lowering brackets from Enviromoto, as well as a set of adjustable rear shocks that I adjusted as short as they will go. This gave me the 2 1/2" in the rear. In the front, I unscrewed the tops of the forks and removed the springs. I cut out 2 1/2" I put the springs back in and put in about 3 tablespoons of 10 weight fork oil in each fork. It works great. You will have to remove or modify the center stand as well as the kickstand. I removed my center stand and will most likely cut off the mounts because when I lean hard, the mounts send up sparks. The kick stand I put in a pipe bender and bent it out. I am going to build a custom kick stand to give it more lean, but so far it works very well! Check my pics in my sig.

Thanks for the info jake, I guess it's time for me to discuss options with the "Little Mrs." so she can tell me just how much moddin' she'll let me do to her scoot. Lowered scoots do look COOOOOL .

Right now the wife doesn't seem too interested in "Her" lil blue scoot. I think it may have somethin' to do with the fact that it's blue with flamin' skulls, and not too girly looking. I think I'm going to have to paint it something a little more feminine or she's gonna lose interest completely. I'll probably look into lowering the front forks like you suggested and maybe modifying the seat a little too. I just have to pin the wife down on a color scheme that's acceptable to her, then get to wrenching. I better hurry though winter is coming up fast and that will put an end to my paintin' till spring . The wife wont let me paint in the house anymore since the last "incident" with the oven, I've been banished to the garage. ;D

The flaming skulls may be a little over the top. "Incident with the oven"? That doesn't sound good.

The "oven incident" is a long story. Let's just say the wife doesn't understand the difference between powder coating and painting so she's outlawed both. She says the oven is for baking food not parts.

On my old MC, shaving the seat is quick and easy. Need a drill with a 3M open grind attachment and a good power stapler.Lowered my set 2". Good luck.

Hey guys I need your help. You see I made my wife a deal. I told her she could have my 2009 Lifan 150cc scooter if I could buy a 2008 Roketa MC-54-250B. My wife is new to riding, and when I started teaching her we found out the darn thing is too tall. Now I figure I've got a few choices. Sell her scooter and buy her a Trike, lower her scooter, or break both her legs and have'em surgically stretched. I don't really have the funds for a Trike right now, and she's a little hesitant about the surgery, so I guess it's lower the scoot. Anyone have a clue about the best way to do this? Should I shave down the seat? Lower the front forks? Let the air out of both tires and tell her to ride on the rims? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thats easy, just get soe lowering brackets: here... check these guys out scooterchromeparts.com/#/lowering-brackets/4544445575. I will be buying me a set for my scooter this summer. This will drop your scooter 1-1/2 lower. You would have to lower the front forks or suspension, to level the scooter. Thanks, Melazza
