Well I am in the process of removing all the back plastic on the BMS EV9. After putting a new carb on 300 miles later more issues.Scoot now has 950 miles on it.The enricher has never worked on either carb, meaning it never gets to the open position. I think? It acts like it doesn't have a choke at all.It never runs fast at first start. The scooter started running crappy at lower speeds with a small amount of black smoke coming out the muffler.Checked the plug and it was totally fouled.Put a new plug in and it was hard to start had to open throttle half way.Runs really rough.Oil all over the place in the engine compartment from the vent tube.Getting ready to do some serious fixing lol.Need to finally get this carb problem fixed. It has to be a wire that powers the enricher? don't it?Any ideas?

If you discover a decent system to get the plastic off of a retro let me know. I spent an hour and a half getting it off my Motorino Amore. It was insane, why don't they put some access panels in? Maybe yours is different but I couldn't even get to the plug without a struggle, let alone set the valves. Hey, something struck me while I was reading your post. How much oil are you getting out of the crankcase breather? That sounds like way too much, maybe that's fouling the plug and making it run crappy. Are you having to add oil all the time? My wife's Bashan has the crankcase breather hooked up under the air box and only a very small amount of oil collects there. Just a thought, Rich

Time to get the old volt meter out! But rememeber you can pull it out and do a simple check with a battery. Also have you checked to see if it's getting warm after the scooter runs a bit? If it stays bone cold, it's a loss of voltage or bad enricher? I'd eliminate the bad enricher possibility first. Dr. JR I think I will pull the carb and check the enricher with the battery.

I will take some pics after work.

hear are some pics. Today the scooter started rite up.It runs smooth no smoke. I took off the air cleaner panel and checked for excess oil and it was clean. I removed the vent hose from the valve cover and blew thru it and there was no blockage. I also looked under the valve cover from the bottom of the scooter and there dosnt seem to be an excesive oil leak there.I con only figure all the oil is coming from the oil vent. I am not handy with a multi meter so any help would be appriciated.I need to know where to set the meter to check the ohms on the harness that supplies the enricher.I have tried three enrichers and two carbs and none of the enrichers have worked. If I could just figure out a way to force the needle closed and by pass the enicher all together I would. oil on the side panel heres acouple of vids first one is starting it befor I adjusted the carb.Second is after.
