Looking at a good 10" of that white crap in the street outside my window. Main road has been plowed but that ain't saying much. Cars are doing about 15 - 20mph and that includes the private plow trucks. Don't think there's a school within 100 miles that's going to be open. Add in the gentle breeze that blowing and it make this one of those days when you just want to pull the covers over your head and wait for the nightmare to end. I know damn well if I brave the storm and go to work, I'll be a HUGH minority as most of my coworkers will just work from home (lucky SOB's). Who pissed in Nature's cornflakes??? And where the hell is spring? M/C

I'm in the same boat. About 10", school's closed. Nasty stuff too. It's wet, heavy and worked my little snow thrower to death. Worse, it rained yesterday and the cars are ALL frozen blocks of ice. We can't open the doors on any of them so I can move them and finish clearing the driveway. GLOBAL WARMING my butt. March 7th and the kids get a snow day! The next Ice Age is here.

Wow M/C what a surprise! FYI - we only got 3-4". I don't think it will be much of a surprise to KZ. I'm sure he got nearly as much from what the radar looked like. The weather DORKS kept saying it was going to lighten up or stop over night. They were as accurate as ever! M/C HA! Guess I was right, sorry KZ.

The weather clowns said 5-7" on Weather Channel. They missed it. Even better was when we looked at the Doppler Radar this morning it showed clear skies over us and it was snowing like crazy outside and kept going for another two hours. At least it's partly sunny now but it's still cold and windy. March 7th for heavens sake. I thought I'd be getting in at least one ride by now. This throws off any chance by another couple of weeks at least. I'm shooting for April now.

Hey guys, the weather folks were right - you did get the promised 5-7" but they're having a buy one/get one special. The other 5" were a bonus!

Oh goody. I love a bargain. Free snow! Now I'll go and pile it up next to the driveway some more so I can keep it longer.

KZ - I've managed to save some of mine for future use, wouldn't want to be without. We're way below you - about 8 feet this winter.

No worries Professor, if you run low I'll gladly bring you some so you'll always remember what a beautiful VIEW the snow can be.
Your Buddy, M/C

M/C - that pic is beyond cool. Kind of a mini-glacier. Did you take that? I occasionally get little overhangs but nothing like that. Why don't we pack this stuff up and ship to JR down in Arkieland?

I usually but the tomato plants but this year, I am going to seed them inside. I will probably buy some seeds tomorrow when I am out getting my battery checked. When I lived in south carolina, our tomato growing season (on the coast) was 8 or nine months of the year. Here in Ohio, it incompasses May (plant them) June, july water fertilize and wait. Aug and sept tomatoes ready to eat. That really sucks. I am used to having tomatoes in May, thru nov in SC. But at least Ohio is more scooter friendly than SC so I guess I am glad I live here.

M/C - that pic is beyond cool. Kind of a mini-glacier. Did you take that? No it wasn't me that took the pic. It was sent to a local news channel from a person in Minetto, NY. There are some awesome shots of winter at their site: www.9wsyr.com/ugc/cat/generic_weather_photos/default.aspx Why don't we pack this stuff up and ship to JR down in Arkieland? NO! I tried doing that last year when he was bragging about his great state of "Arkieland". The redneck post office got suspicious of the package of " a white powdery substance". They sent it to the postal lab for "testing". Now I'm being sued by 4 postal workers for frost bitten sinuses. M/C Here's an update... Attachments:
