I have just received my new Jonway FF250T-3.
I put it all together, charged the battery and when it was time to fire her up - Nothing.
No lights, no dashboard, no engine.
Any ideas please. The fuse is Ok,the battery is charged and the Ignition switch seems to be OK.
Many thanks

Is the run/kill switch in the run position? Red toggle switch near the throttle.
Also it may need to be up the center stand, some scoots are like that.
Rear brake lever pulled in too.
Sorry, gotta list the basics first...

Welcome to Scooter Doc, serasan. Even though the fuse is OK, the fuse holder may not be. If you have the glass style fuse, it is recommended to go with this style which makes a positive connection on the blades of the automotive style fuse. www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103778A multimeter to check for presence of 12 volts along the line up to the ignition switch and beyond might be necessary. Also make sure that the black lead off the negative terminal of the battery is grounded properly to the frame of the scoot. Use an ohmmeter if necessary to make sure there is continuity to the frame. Sometimes the terminal is bolted onto a painted part of the frame. The paint has to be removed under the terminal to ensure a good ground. Poorly crimped connectors are also a common problem.

I have solved the problem.
When fitting the battery there was a black cable and a red cable. These I fitted to the black and red terminals on the battery.
I also had the fuse wire that was red but was shrouded in a black sheath. My limited knowledge of electrics is that the sheath colour supersedes the original colour. I therefore connected this fused wire to the negative terminal.
On checking today, I was wrong and all works fine now I have connected it to the positive terminal.
Thank you for you input.
