i have a 150 strada chinese scooter that starts great and idles fine but when i give it some gas it wants to stall . if i can get the rpm's up it takes off . this seems to get worse as the engine warms up. i checked the carb diaphragm , it looks good . i cleaned the carb up good but doesn't seem to help . could it be the electric choke ? how could i check it ? thanks

Check the choke. remove it from the carb and hook it yo to the battery. The needle should extend about 3/8" in about 3 minutes...
Set the valve gaps as well... intake (top) .004 inch and exhaust (bottom) .005 inch

Bignozel, NO, you cannot use the battery charger to test it. THE CHOKE needs 12v to heat it up. Do this just take it off and lay it on ITS SIDE then cover the hole with your Thumb or hand whatever. Start the Scoot and let it Idle for about 5 minutes. The Enricher if it working will extend out. While it is idleing you can watch it extend out. Alleyoop

Why buy a new carb? If the enricher is bad.. which you don't know yet... then just replace the enricher.
