I had an incident the other day that exemplifies the mix of both kinds of people in the world. Through my own negligence, my airbox fell-off my scoot while riding and skidded into the oncoming lane of the street. I was able to turn around and pull to the side of the street, and as I went to get my airbox, a mindless driver ran it over with their SUV. I was sooooo pissed, because I was standing right there! Just then, the guy who owns the house that I was in front of came out and asked if I needed help. He's a Harley rider and spent twenty mins looking through his collection of bolts to find one that would hold my jacked-up box on until I got home. At the same time, a young lady stopped and said she saw the whole thing and asked if I needed anything at all. I really appreciated both of these people. I also do my best to help in any way that I can, and although I think too many people are too self-absorbed, I am happy that there are people who see more than just themselves.
