I found that the pipe that comes off the header pipe near the flange had broken off and was just being held up by the bottom cover. I removed the header pipe, which is extremely rusty in contrast to the rest of the bike, to inspect and noticed there is nothing, around where the flange bolts onto the engine, sealing the engine on the bottom and on the other side, there is a square exposed, a 4'x5' piece of the plastic whatever missing as well! This is a two-stroke 50QT-2 engine and the spark plug goes in horizontally. So I am just wondering if I am missing an important cover in relation to the exhaust and also, how do I repair the pipe break?

So are there threads in the head where the Flange bolts up to or did the studs break off and are still in the Head. Either way you need to bolt the Flange back onto the head. Either take the broken bolts out of the head if you cannot do it then you will have to take the head off and take it somewhere where they will take them out for you.
Take a picture of what you are looking at and we can better determine what needs to be done. Alleyoop
