Now you need to take the old carb apart to see if you can locate the problem it had and you may need it for spare parts.

Alley - What is this " winter " you speak of? I do not remember such a thing. It sounds like a nasty word to me! Ya a stick would work. I've taken the tank out so much and seen it at so many different levels from looking in it that I can pretty much tell from looking in it when its low. Raford - ya I was thinking when Im bored I'll take the other carb apart, clean it up well and use it for spare parts, perhaps locate the problem with a jet being clogged. With further adieu ( yes I had to google the spelling of that one) Thee video: ( note Alex (my neighbor) playing bohemian rhapsody in the background upstairs and whistling/inging to it) Watching the video I can see that w/ the camera on my hat, its hard for me to line up what Im actually looking at LOL. sorry for the crappy filming job. Try not to get car sick. I think the scooter sounded better in person than on video. With the video it sounds more loud/annoying. The squeek at the end isn't be squeeling in, the paint on the driveway just causes my tires to make a squeeky noise on it Note: I took the scooter out about an hour later and it started first try, no problem and I drove it for 20 minutes Question: I dont want to ride my scooter too much but I dont want to ride it too little. How often should I drive it at the LEAST to keep the battery happy and the gas from sitting, like what is a healthy amount. At least every 2 days, 4? 10? Thanks. 3 Months without the scooter to the DAY. Poem finally got to meet it

GREAT!! RUNNING LIKE A CHAMP!! And now that you raised the IDLE it will start and stay started by the way(HEHE). If you haven't started in a couple of days before you start it GIVE the Throttle a couple of quick twist to prime it and it should start right off the bat. Don't worry about the gas it should last for months, as for charging the Battery 1once a WEEK if for a nice good ride will charge it up and if you can get on a road that is nice and long and get it up to 20-25mph that would be better. YOUR ON YOUR WAY KNOW, If you need any help with anything you can pm me if you want or just open another thread SINCE THIS THREAD SAGA HAS BEN SOLVEDEDEDEDEDED RIDE SAFE. Alley

LMAO at play with the "pouch" nice type-o Alley, totally changed the meaning of that one. I play with the pooch all day Java only in the morning I plan on driving it to the fireworks on the beach for NYE. WAY easier to get in and out of that traffic mess on a scooter

LoL. A pouch can be a purse or a sack ( something you can carry something in ) like a pouch on a kangaroo or a pouch on a hooded sweatshirt ( the thing in the front) I was thinking pouch like a personal area down south on a woman. I just have a dirty mind thats all. LOL. You said go play with your pouch and have some coffee and I just started laughing. LOL. I also googled pouch and it doesnt really say purse or sack, just other weird meanings so it was a little intersting for me to google too Have a safe and happy new year

My scooter started right up today ( first try ) I drove it a block and noticed when I came to a stop at the stop sign it wanted to die ( kept ideling lower and lower) so I turned back around and brough it home. Turned it off ( because it was going to die anyway if I let go of the throttle ) Went in, got a screw driver, turend it back on, again started no problem and adjusted the A/F and idle screw. I think my A/F screw is turned out about 3 to 3 1/2 times now. I think I got the ratio good with that and the idle screw now. It seems fine. I could have sworn at one redlight on my way to my 25 blocks south destination, it sounded like it was idling slower or it could have been in my head. It sounded fine after that. I got to my destination, went to shut off the gas, looked in under the flap in the trunk at the carb and noticed there was a drop of fluid under this hoseand the mouth of the hose was wet. It looks like a drain or air hose of some sort. Its the short one on the side. Is that bad? It also smelled a little like gas ( my scooter in general ) not sure if it did or if it was one of the other 10 scooters I was parked next to. My scooter seemed happy to be back in line with the rest of the pack at the grocery store. The pack: Mine is the 3rd one from the left next to the scooter some guy decided to squeeze into my spot * shakes head * When I went to leave to go home, it started up no problem and no problems on the way home. I guess I'm still kind of holding my breathe. I saw all 50 or so places my scooter has died in the past on my trip.

Well if gas is comeing out of that hose it means gas is getting up under GOLD CAP in the carb picture. What that means is that it is Flooding some, are you sure it is not leaking by the CARB BOWL HALFS remember you said you forgot to put the gasket on. IF the gasket is not on right it will leak from there and with it moving it could just blew the gas onto that vent hose. So run your fingers around the Bowl where it connects to the top of the Carb and see if it is wet. Alley
