One quick test, start the scoot and block the air intake with duct tape. If it doesn't stall out it's got another source of air input.

Well crap it is just bogging that is all. That is just Carb problem, is your Air Filter connected to the carb. What Raford3 is saying take the the hose off either end of the Air Filter and COVER it with your hand and on the centerstand try and give it throttle.
That will tell you if to much air or not enough fuel. If you cover it and it takes throttle then not enough gas is being feed for the amount of air coming in(running to lean). If it is worse then it is the opposite TO RICH. Alleyoop

Oh, I didn't realize " bogging " could be that bad. LOL. Thought bogging was more like a sputtering but not flat out refusing to move and dieing if u dont let off the fuel LOL! Let me go look at the scooter to see what ur talking about

Yep does not look like a serious problem AT ALL. You can also try adjusting the Fuel Ratio Screw manybe that sucker vibrated loose one way or another. Alleyoop
And you can test it out just on the centerstand, tweak the fuel ratio screw and try giving it throttle.

Ya the connections to the air filter are all tight ( as shown in the circles ) where would I put my hand over or block off / tape up to test it ( circle 1, 2 or 3? ) LOL. OMG if its just adjusting the carb thats easy as hell. Would love it if thats all it was, I know how to do that

Okay. I messed with the A/F screw and it seems to make no difference w/ the idle speed, so I may need to clean the carb. I tried lowering and raising the idle w the idle speed screw then popping the seat back on and driving it about 15 feet each half turn on the idle speed screw and neither lower nor higher made it work right but its working a little better. I can now go about 5 miles an hr w out it trying to stop at ALL as long as I go very slow. Once I hit the throttle even a little it wants to die. I wonder if I should put the new carb I have in and work on cleaning the other one and using it as a back up one.

It's not the variator,or the clutch. Another test would be to try running on less than 1/4 throttle. If it does that, even at a very slow speed I know where your problem is.

See my last post After messing w/ the adjustment screws on the carb it now runs at less than 1/4 throttle ( 5 miles an hr ) I give it anymore than that and it wants to die, but at least I got to go for a nice ride around the WHOLE block LOL. Before I messed with the screws it wouldn't even let me run at 1/16th thottle or not more than 20 feet before not letting me anyway.

Alas, I must be content with a mere reflection of your beauty in the speedometer lens.
