Newbie here, Looking at a reverse trike, 50cc for my wife. She can't ride a 2 wheeler(but rides a 700 Grizzly). We like to ride in the developement, and on some forest service roads, but we have to have street legal vehicles to do so.
Will the MC_D50TKA work? Or is there a better solution? Where is the best place to purchase one ?? Any other info would be great.

I have seen the video, thats is what prompted us to look deeper. I need the 50cc, as they don't require her to get an endorsement. Anything above 80cc you have to have one. I read horror stories about buying from certain places, and was wondering where to purchase from.
Thanks for the input.

Have you looked at the Trikes with the wheels on the back. Reason I ask is IB used to sell the Reverse Trikes but Stopped because of to many problems with them. Some would actually fall over on there sides when making a slow turn like turning into your driveway. Also many had problems trying to align the front end on them. But the best person to talk to is JIM from RapidRepair he has a banner on the top of the forum. He is an Ice Bear Authorized Dealer and a REAL MECHANIC as well. He will not lie to you and tell you the real poop on whatever you decide on. Here are Ice Bear 50cc Trikes. Alleyoop www.icebearatv.com/50CC-Trike16.htm

Hyproscooters, are you carring the 50 also ?? 50's just don't "cut-it" here in Western PA. Just too many hills.

I purchased a used MC_D50TKA that had about 600 miles on it and it worked great for a while. It just isn't built with quality in mind, but low cost. This trike isn't any easier to ride than a two wheeled scooter, and in fact, can at times be more dangerous because of the independent suspension. When hitting bumps or potholes the front wheels bounce separate from each other making it difficult to control.
My trike lasted about 1000 miles before the odometer, speedometer, and battery died. I just bought a new battery and used it as is until the steering/direction column broke after another 1500-2000 miles. I'm planning to buy the $70 part, repair it myself since the local dealership charges $70/hr for service, then sell it before something else breaks.
Oh, I think the front wheel alignment might be off so the tires are wearing out faster than normal and unevenly.
If you can get a bigger trike without the independent suspension you'll have a smoother ride and be able to keep up with traffic. The bigger ones just aren't legal in California so I didn't get much of a choice.

Good to hear from a current owner of a Reverse Trike and tell it like it is. There is a reason a HUGE DISTRIBUTOR of Trikes and Scoots will no longer sell those Reverse Trikes.
Owners have put up actual Videos of them riding them the 150s and 300s and it shows just how bad they can be. One could not go past 30mph if he wanted his arms not to be shaken off, another one trying to make a right turn onto another street almost turned into the oncoming cars on the street he was turning into(because they need a wide turn radius). Another one one tried it on a dirt road and he had a hard time keeping it straight, just to name a few comments and actual videos from some owners.
I personnally would stay away from Reverse Trikes the Front Ends need some upgrades and I think they are dangerous. They should not be selling them until they fix the front ends with quality metal and better design. One owner put up Video of the weld on the lower A arm on once side broke. And the really bad part there isn't a SHOP that will or can work on the front end even for an alignment, it is all up to the owner. Alleyoop

I have been interested in this type of scooter for a long while... What I can't seem to find is what type of motor is it? I know it's a 4.4 hp, but what model is the engine? a GY6?
