It seems the Float is sinking or Stuck (probably stuck if it been sitting) in the down position and not closing off the fuel, it could just be some sediment has it stuck in the down position. I would say; Remove the carb and then remove the fuel bowl and maybe spray with some carb cleaner and gently work the float up and down until it moves freely. Also try to watch the needle valve that the float moves to stop fuel entering and be sure it moving. I not good at explaining, but, maybe someone can do it better.

You done good Nied, that is what it is the Float is either stuck and or the Plunger hole is full of gummed up gas from sitting to long and when the float moves up the plunger is NOT shutting off the fuel. Good way to test after you clean it out is blow into the FUEL inlet and push the float GENTLY up to push the plunger up into the hole and see if it stops the air your blowing in. If it does your good to go. Alleyoop

Thanks Niedz, The float seemed to be working fine when i cleaned everything but i can always try and clean it again if the solution is as simple as that... Ill try that again tonight after work it seems like that is the issue which makes sense, ill just try and meticulously clean the float but if anyone has any other ideas of what to do or if it could be something else im open for some inquiry ...
thanks all

Check the rubber tip on the float needle they can either fall off, dry out or crack and case leakage

Yea test it before putting it all back together this way you know when the float moves up it actually shuts off the flow. best way is pull the float off and spray into the hole and also clean the tip of the plunger that may also have crude built on the rubber tip. Alleyoop

I agree with everyone ,I think the needle is not setting for some reason . When I always work on carbs with rubber tip needles I always clean and lube the rubber tip with silicone spray lube . It works very for cleaning and conditioning the rubber tip .

As a preventive measure, I would add about an ounce per gallon of Sea Foam to the tank, too. Add the sea foam when the fuel is low in the tank. then fill it up. I don't use any gas other than shell 93 octane in mine with sea foam added about every other tank fill.

93 octane is the wrong fuel for the GY6 engine.. you should be using 87 AKI...regular...theses are relatively low compression engines...
The manuals say 91 to 93 RON.. that is the Chinese gas grade..not used in North America, the equivalent is 86-87 AKI

besides 87 octane, getting real gas is a plus too. It is much more important to not have gasahol in a small engine as it does not take much to plug up the small jets they have. In a car that gets used daily, gasahol is not so big a threat but where there is these tiny jets that don't get daily use you will pay dearly for using that crap. Sea foam is great but if we were getting good pure gas we would not need it for daily use.

jct842.. GREAT point... These scooter certainly are not good at handling even low percentage 10%-15% ethanol.. you get a white chalky build-up in the float bowl in a matter of a few months...the stuff will block the main jet solid... I know in Canada we can still get 'pure' gas, but I think in some states all the fuel is ethanol blended... Does Seafoam cut this stuff or put it back in solution with the gas?

I am not sure exactly how sea foam works but it does stop some of the problems. I did email sea foam as I had heard it had a form of alcohol in it and that's what we are trying to stop its effects. They did email back and said that that chemical was necessary to make sea foam work. I still use it because I have not found any product that works as well. Still the best thing is prevention....don't use crapahol....at least in small engines. I think all small engine makers today recommend you do not use it period.
