Took the Honda out today and went to Springhill to see his new Trike. Wow, they have changed a lot of things since mine I can tell you that and all looks good. The rear and the changes in the motor mounts and swing arms to the hubs, I think are all good changes and will be a lot less maintenance than the older models. I am still out to lunch on the reverse..I say lock it in forward but that is me. On my ride home I was thinking about the pull start on it and just feel if it were mine I would remove it and get that weight of that shaft, that piece is big!!
Nice Trike John and I think ya will have good luck with it, I liked it

Thanks Mike here are a few photo's I took so Alley can take a peek at the reaend. I just wish I could have gotten that Varirator nut loose so I could have checked the weight on them for down the road. My friend has a better air gun and will give that a try.

I seam to be getting the hang to the picture posting, now if I figure out how to post more theen one at a time that would be great. I guess I will need to make them smaller then. You can see the mark I made on the pulley to see how high it will go. Had a good teacher right Alley?

Great pictures, good job yea the differential is just like whats on my straight axle 150. Except of course they added CV joints for the independent suspension on each end. They also made it easy to adjust the tension on the chain as well as lineing up the whole rear end.
Yea that mark on the Variator will let you know how high the belt is climbing.
To add one picture after another just do this:
PASTE PIC 1 space PASTE PIC 2 Space PASTE PIC 3 easy as pie. Alleyoop

Alley what is the secert to getting that 19mm nut off the varirator? Tried impact, nut driver that you hit with hammer and tried to hold the shaft where the pull start is with a pipe wrench but it kept slipping, no good! I guess I need another pair of hands holding. I would like to weigh those rollers for later. In the mean time am put lights on the back will get a photo of it when done. John

Good picture of the vairator and the added section for the pull starter from the fan section.. Is added weight right off the power shaft... Could always take it off and see at a later date. Right now I would put that baby on the road and get some miles on her and see how she does and learn how she rides and what she like and dislikes.

Your right Mike I want to mark the rear like we talked about so I have some kind of guide when making a chain adjustment and get all those extra bolts lock-tite that you pointed out. Will have to go to Home Depot and see if they have that weather strip and the PVC thing you told me about for the air cleaner box. I will up soon and take a ride down to you. Got my son's Police Hockey game today ( they are bad, they are better in there police car then skates) so today is pretty much shot. John

John do not raise you deck... Waite till you change the tires out, you may not have to raise it and it is a bitch as you have some cutting to do when you raise. So if you do not need to great

Mike I am not raising the deck I am marking so I will have a easy way when I have to tighten the chain. Send me a picture of your air filter tube with the part you got from Home Depot. Don't forget to get that $2.00 spray oil for the chain, remember BLACK LABEL not the White Label, John
