Hi! New member here. I just bought a new 2011 Jonway YY250T Scooter. I found your site when I was having problems with overheating. That was an easy fix due to a cracked coolant hose. I've been reading the forums saw the posts on the HID upgrades which I plan to do within the next month or so. I saw the post by "damin69" under the 'Memorable Posts' section in regards to the upgrade and I think I will follow that one since he shows the YY250T scooter. On my plastic headlight protector, it's stamped S2 35/35. Would the same H4 sockets be the best conversion? Also I want change out the rest of my conventional bulbs to LED. I saw a few posts on that and hopefully the same bulbs will fit the 2011 model. Any idea on a way to find out which engine is mounted in my scooter? I appreciate any help you can give. By the way I have almost 400 miles on this as I ride it to work everyday that I can. My top speed is 60mph with at lot more throttle to go. Maybe I will take it on the interstate when I get a little more comfortable with it.

Welcome.. I have never felt comfortable to go on any interstate. Even on long trips I stick to the HWYs.
Good Luck and Welcome to Doc

Welcome to Scooter Doc. Yes, there is a way to tell what engine you have. There's only two engines in the Chinese 250 stable, the CF Moto clone vertical, and the Linhai horizontal. Pull the seat bucket and see which way the cylinder is pointing. Yours should be the vertical variety. I have that particular engine in my CF Moto Fashion and it is a super reliable unit. I've popped 75MPH on my Fashion but that's really pushing it. It likes 65 the best and does 70 without too much complaint. Have fun on the forum, Rich
