Hey all, 150cc Roketa Sicily, i'm in the process of replacing the carburetor, and had a few questions... 1. When installing a new carburetor, are there any tips/protocols that should be followed as far as first-time tuning and etc? Do I need to do anything special or just place it in? 2. In the picture attached, I noticed when I removed my seat, there was a line running from the component in the top right of the picture, and the line ended down near the bottom of the carburetor, but I didn't see anywhere it should be connected to- for the sake of knowledge and fixing: What is that part, and where does that line belong? Thanks for your help!

Let me ask one question where is that other BIG hose going to? That looks like a Pair system in either case the AIR BOX most likely has a connector for that hose.
As far as the new carb, before you put it on turn the Fuel Ratio Screw clockwise until it stops and then turn it out 2 1/2 turns that should be enough to allow the motor to start. You then can fine tune the carb AFTER it you start it and let it WARM up for at least 5 minutes. Alleyoop

Other end went down towards the front of the engine, thats the best I could tell, I don't recall seeing any open spots on the airbox, but I can check more Thursday (wont have time tomorrow until its already too dark! )

Ok, let me know if it goes to something like this picture then it goes onto a connection in your AIR BOX or AIR TUBE. Alleyoop

That's definitely a PAIR pollution device and that tube feeds fresh air into the exhaust side of the engine to supposedly burn off excess gas. The small nipple on the canister hooks onto a vac line. Nothing on the PAIR unit hooks onto your carb. The system is a POS if you want to remove it.

That's definitely where it connects. I guess ill try and find where it belongs and connect it. Unless you think it would be beneficial to remove. It sounds like its nothing anyway. Haha. Thanks

Just wanted to update... got it working and left the PAIR device flailing around. Scooter seemed to run and idle smooth at the initial 2 and 1/2 turns out.. so I left it there.. could/should I have adjusted further?

They ususally well run well right around that setting so just leave it if it is starting and running good for you. As the saying goes IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT ;D Alleyoop
