do all of them have cats in the muffler? perhaps i should slice mine open? Hard to tell on some until you take the muffler off and look at the inlet side. If you see honeycomb little holes like a beehive that is the cat. Alleyoop

adjust the valves, clean the mess outta of the carb or get a new one usually fixes most problems and rejet and plug chop till it runs great. Theses scoots are simple gas, spark, correct air flow = run for the most part.

What that means is your warm up the motor run the sucker at WOT and then hit the KILLSWITCH and pull over right away and take the plug out and see what color it is. It if is WHITE it is LEAN it should have have a nice brown color to it meaning the fuel and air mixture is good. If it is on the black side or sooty it is RICH.
I personally do not bother with plug chops, I listen to the motor and how it acts running at WOT it will tell you right off the bat what it needs and I use trick of the trade to find what it needs more fuel or less at any throttle position.
But the first thing I do is adjust the Fuel Ratio Mixture at IDLE after the motor is nice and warm about 5-10 minutes idleing then adjust it and test it before a load is put on it. After that you run it and it may need a minor twick on the adjustment. It should run really good up to about 3/4 throttle then it transitions onto the MAIN jet for most of its fuel. If there is a problem at those speeds and it ACTS UP BADLY then the fuel ratio will not fix that. At this point to test to find out what the motor is complaining about to much fuel or not enough and work on the high end and do not touch what you did for the bottom to 3/4 throttle. Alleyoop

Two questions. To plug the main port, is that just some aluminum pieces you drilled out, and what exactly did you use to seal it besides the screws? Also how do you plug the Vac line that came of the PAIR CANISTER exactly? Do you plug the hose with something?

flooding that is!...what size is your ef'n jet??,,is your petcock working ok? look if the float inside the carb isn't stucked down., shyet, if it is,then gas continously flow inside the motor which causes the flooding and it's not good. you said you "have to wait a bit to get it to start", it only mean that the excess gas inside the chambers that causes the flooding evaporates,if it does then you notice the motor starts right up again. makes sense huh?! here,do this...start the scooter, give it a gradual throttle, if it dies IMMEDIATELY remove the spark plug and see if it's very wet,if it is then flooding occured. remember, i had a chinese scooter before, a yellow sunlee chua huang luang whatever, and i had same exact problem, the petcock was bad and the carb float was stuck shyet! and you might want to change your spark plug with a new one.,to obtain better spark shyet!
pls don't thank me, i really give advices to the deserving ones, enjoy while it's free, tomorrow i'm gonna charge you..lol
charge to experience!!
