Ok, got it to start and rode it for about 15 minutes. ran ok, knowing it needs an oil change and some carb tuning. After riding it it now idles and runs ok, but give it some throttle and she shuts down. I am sure it is all about what you last posted about turning the screws. New plug in it. I will play with adjustments until she runs ok. Just wondering why she was cutting off when giving her some throttle.
Thanks.

When you open the throttle you are EITHER letting a lot of air in or NOT ENOUGH and in either situation it will barf. Not enough air then it will FLOOD to much air and then not enough FUEL.
Open the throttle slowly and see if it will take it. The other thing is if you can catch it when it is acting up BACKOFF the throttle about 1/4 of an INCH AND HOLD IT THERE. a. If the motor speeds up it is LEAN(needs more fuel--OR you have a Air Leak) b. If the motor stumbles and settles down it is RICH( check the Air Filter maybe it is clogged) and not letting enough air in. Alleyoop

Got the first of the two scooters running. Thanks to Alleyoop for the lean rich page. It was right on the money and she is running like a champ.
Second scooter had a slightly different problem. He was riding it and he slowly started losing power until it stopped running all together. After some tinkering, it had spark, it was getting fuel and this morning she actually coughed some. I was hoping I was on the right track. She suddenly got harder and harder to crank. Now using the foot crank, she doesn't move. I was at first thinking when I adjusted the valves they were too loose and not venting properly. But I took out the spark plug and she still isn't moving. Frozen motor? Blown motor? Compression tester comes in on Thursday, but I am thinking the worst. Worth rebuilding? Some more help here is very much appreciated.

Got to tell you if you took the plug out and the crank will not turn the problem is internal. Alleyoop
