You may not need to replace the Clutch Check it out first. Take the Bell off and if there is still a good amount of material on the pads just get a little sandpaper and sand the GLAZE off the pads. On the 250s the Clutch pads glaze a lot because of the extra weight they have to get to initially move and if they slip a little that is when the pads glaze up and slip more.
As for the weights the Dr. Pulley Sliders they move up and down ramps smoother and give you maybe 1-2 mph more on the top end than the rollers. Also if you get SLIDERS always get 1 GRAM heavier than the rollers you would have gotten. And here is the reason:
Rollers- for every gram up or down it will change your RPMS by 500-600. Sliders- for every gram up or down it will change your RPMS by 200-350. So you can afford to go 1 gram higher than a roller weight and your RPMS will almost be the same if you had gotten ROLLERS 1 GRAM LIGHTER. Alleyoop

ok.. I once read.. that i could take out some of my rollers for better performance... is this true? like take out two in same row to keep it balanced and would perform as if i had lighter rollers?

Take a look at the Variator you have and Look at the displacement of the ramps around the circle. If you can see that by taking 2 or 3 out and still have a balanced Variator then that is fine. But IF empty ramps are not evenly spaced on the Variator you will have problems and cause damage. I do NOT recommend that method of trying to tune your cvt. Do it right and buy your new weights for whatever your aiming for. my .02 for what its worth Alleyoop

I value your 2 cents for sure... but i just want to test it out... will give me a feel of what to expect out of new rollers... Would this be in balance if i took these two out? Or any two in the same row like these ALSO-- are the plastic clips supposed to be pushed all the way in tell they snap? I am guessing so.. but just want to be clear

Yes those two should keep it in balance I NOTICE YOUR ROLLERS HAVE FLAT SPOTS so you do need new ones. Also clean it out NO GREASE. Alleyoop

Cool, hopefully they will come with new plastic guides. Did you say yours were 14grams? If so that should raise your rpms. Alleyoop

They may not snap but push them on as far as they will go. The guides will only be a problem if they are worn badly that the Variator plate moves around to much(TO LOOSE on the GUIDES). Alleyoop

No 12s will do since you had 14s in there going down to 11s will be to much and I think you will loose top end. Alleyoop

Best way to determine and see if the belt climbs higher is FIRST MARK the variator like this and then run it with the current setup. Then install the new stuff and Mark it again and see if the belt climbed higher. Alleyoop
